Amazing experience w/ friends. Has a lot of heart!

The 127v127 mode with full proximity chat between teams makes this a one-of-a-kind experience Most people have called this game a low-poly Battlefield. While this is true, this is an awesome experience w/ friends and a great place to make new ones.

Highly recommend, excited to see where this game goes!

As of September 28, 2021 (Day 1 of Launch)

New World holds promise but definitely has a long way to go. Their features and stability are on point, however many people reviewing are more concerned about queue-times. It's frustrating, but remember this is fairly common with brand new MMOs, and this is unlikely to be an issue come next week. I'm really enjoying my time on the game so far (progression, factions, resources, etc.), but I would give you all three warnings that could negatively impact the future of the game:

1.) Amazon is likely implementing a cash-shop in the near future (as expected with a buy-to-play game.) While they claim this is cosmetic-open, I would take their words with a grain of salt.
2.) Resources nodes are static, meaning they do not change location. This worries me because of the potential for account botting.
3.) The PvE content is present but needs to be fleshed out. This is due to New World originally being a hardcore-PvP game. The community has been very quick to search for the PvP "meta." This is expected, but I'm concerned that there will quickly be a "right" vs. "wrong" way to go.

Despite these flags I'm having a wonderful time on New World through Alpha, Beta, and now Launch.

Overall: 7.5/10

Don't get turned away by the clunky graphics and animations, Valheim is a challenging, yet rewarding experience that is best played with friends. There is direct influence from older style MMOs such as ESO and RuneScape that really make this co-op RPG feel like an MMO in disguise (skill levels and crafting being the most obvious). There is base-building, weapon/armor/tool crafting, bosses, proc-gen biomes and easily transferable characters and items that really give this game a lot of replayability.


I have not played a more promising early access game since Rust. There's a very bright future for this game that I can't wait to see unfold! <><

7 Days to Die is a wonderful co-op experience. I'm not so sure on the PvP as I have not tried it. Overall this is a fantastic PvE experience to play with your friends. Two fins up!
