Founded 1999 in Hong Kong, the Lum Fao Triad is an infamous criminal group dedicated to bringing food to the homeless. The leader, who chooses to remain unnamed, has expressed that the group's image on social media is vastly blown out of proportion.

The group totals around 15 known individuals, with many more undercover/hidden members placed strategically within laundromats, barbers, mechanic workshops and even clothing stores. Lum Fao Triad members are also noted for their penchant for good food, with many members not even being of Asian descent.

The group has remained active within Hong Kong's society, but they have begun spreading towards more distant areas as well. Individuals have been sighted in Ireland, Alaska and even Brazil.

Furthermore, the Lum-Fao Triad has also begun distributing clothes to the homeless via discreet thrifting backdoors, due to the naturally cheaper price of thrifted clothing vs new.
