As of 30/8/25, i beat this game and let me tell you.. This is one of the best games i have ever played. DEAD SERIOUS

The ending hit me like a hammer, the monsters did too..... The atmosphere and setting were perfect.. Just EVERYTHING about this game was just perfect. Maybe i'll play amnesia soon because frictional games absolutely COOKED with this once in a lifetime story-game.

9.5/10, I love this BIG time. frictional i love you buy me dinner next time and make reservations ASAP!

Fallout 2 is a 1998 Post-apocalypse RPG, taking place in a deserted version of California. Apparently your village is dying because of the lack of crops, animals, and people. You are chosen to a quest where you gotta find a briefcase thing called the 'Garden of Eden Creation kit'. You must do this while a terrorist-war criminal group called the 'Enclave' roams around the wasteland. They are the american government but... they are in the wasteland.

PLOT: 7.8/10

STORY: 9.9/10

GAMEPLAY: 8.4/10

GRAPHICS: 6.7/10

CHARACTERS: 11/10

DIFFICULTY: 8.9/10

SOUNDTRACK: 7.1/10 (It can get annoying sometimes)

ORIGINALITY: 10/10

OVERALL: 9.43/10

Actual masterpiece, would recommend playing if you haven't already.

This game is good and all, but its nothing compared to the sequel. If your thinking about buying this game, then get it on sales or a package with both games on sale.

Cant even get to 3 minutes on a Survival or VS Survival, 10/10 experience.

So far my favorite half life game aside from Episode 2, There's more interactions with NPC's, new weapons, new aliens, a new security guard (Otis), and a pretty cool ending.

I think everyone should play this, its a dang good expansion to a revolutionary game.

Listen, this game is good and all, but i dont get why SEGA would get rid of this from THE steam store, and not to mention they got rid of it on xbox too.

Im glad to have it, but sega? do better.

This game is SO good, imma give my opinion on it.


*SPOILERS*

HORROR LEVEL: 9.8/10 : This game is simon's mind explained in a book, and you should probably know. And theres some pretty scary notes in the apartments, a Apartment predator who has a room with pictures of his victims, and murders kids. Theres also many mentions of suicide, A girl falling off a building, and one of the ways to get a shotgun is… yeah. getting it from a dead dude.

*OVERALL: Conjuring level scary.*

Gameplay: 8/10 : The fighting mechanics are really good, i like how you can swap weapons like 2 pistols to make yourself look like john wick. But imma cross out 1 number because the objective list isn't that great, and that i get lost in some places, like the apartments.

*OVERALL: Good*

Graphics: 7.1/10 : For a game made with GoldSrc its pretty good. feels like a completely different engine. But of course the graphics are okay, not the worst and not the best.
Also, simon dosent show that much emotion in cutscenes, if it was realistic then simon would look like he came out of the time machine that spongebob and plankton built, but ehh,
Andreas was cooking up in 2012 though.

*OVERALL: Okay*

Environment: 9/10 : Its dark and mysterious, this also shows how mentally unstable simon is. Everything he sees, everything he touches, everything he writes. that one part with the forest looks like something from the blair witch project, some mf just enters a house and never comes BAAAAAAACK!!!!!

*OVERALL: Ominous as hell.*

Requirements: You need any computer really, it runs on GoldSrc like i said.

*OVERALL: Make sure if you can run Microsoft paint.*

AUDIANCE: Teenagers (if you can handle stuff in it) And adults. : Like i said theres alot of mentions of suicide so things are pretty mature.

DIFFICULTY: Significant brain usage. :
Bullets in this game are VERY limited so try not to waste them all. And PS the only way to heal up is with a syringe. and this ain’t most FPS games, you dont have a infinite inventory, its EXTREMELY limited too.
And the difficulty depends on the way you wanna play it, like “Nightmare mode”.

And finally, Story: 9/10 : You play as simon henriksson, a Swedish guy that suffers from severe mental health issues from being paralyzed from the waist down in a car accident, during all this he was asked by his doctor “Doctor Purnell” that he should write a book describing how he feels and his hallucinations, and the whole game is just that, a fictional version of simon henriksson, who wakes up in the middle of an alley to a city thats filled with monsters. In this fictional world he sees Purnell as some sort of murderer. its kinda like Raccoon city off of resident evil. ( i never played any of the RE games. ) Its probably one of the most darkest and ominous games i have EVER played ( so far )
