I've got about 2k hours in steam and at least another 10k+ in the direct client:

This is an amazing game. It's got more depth than every other ARPG I can think of combined. Because of this, it has a very steep learning and progression curve that keeps going for quite a while, and if you don't have that much time to dedicate to it you likely won't get all the way there. It's totally possible to just not have enough time for PoE - but the more time you put in the more you'll get out. It's like the EVE of ARPGs. If you want something less daunting, I also recommend Last Epoch and Grim Dawn.

Read some more reviews, check out the wiki, look at some build guides - stick your toes in, so to speak. The game might not be for you, and that's okay. GGG doesn't specifically seek to please people, they're making the game they want and this has been the case since the beginning.

10/10, makes me feel bad for backing Star Citizen all those years ago.

This game is without a doubt one of the best video game stories ever, with the best-written villain.

If you came to Dreadnaught looking for something new and innovative, you won't find it here. Dreadnaught is a (really quite fun, pretty well balanced) WoT / WoWS / WT-style tech tree unlock game, but far more forgiving for casual players or players looking for a less realistic, but still somewhat mentally engaging experience. You can respawn into the same match with the same ship after a few seconds, you don't need to repair your ships between matches - that kind of thing.

It's the way Dreadnaught executes a more spacey game in that genre that makes it fun to play, not the idea itself, just the execution. Many other reviews talk about an irritating ram-n-scram meta, but it's no less prevalent / irritating / uncounterable than the inevitable meta in any PvP game. Nor, for that matter, is the meta all the same thing - there's a bunch of different common approaches. All of which you won't really mind as long as you like the game before you get to Legend, and give it a bit of a chance once you get there.

If you liked the progression system from WoT/WoWS/WT/etc, but without the punishing gameplay, and wanted to have even slightly meaningful differences between components, THIS! If you like the first thing, but want the game to look like Spiral Knights, THIS!
