Early Access Review
This game has truly been a (dark) blast to play. Who knew that a four-v-four lobby of magic wielding opponents with an ever-changing map could be so much fun!?

Lobby after lobby of "FIREBALL!" is so, so satisfying.

I look forward to the custom spells, and other mods that I'm sure will be right around the corner. For a one person team, this game is absolutely amazing.

I've not had much time to sit down and play the actual release. However, I spent countless hours playing the various beta versions / play-tests of this game prior to release.

I have thoroughly enjoyed what I've experienced thus far in the game. One of my favorite aspects of the game is the freedom to play how I want to play. While there are various quests and tasks for you to complete along your journey, Mirthwood truly allows you to craft your own story, how you want to craft it.

While I don't always think that comparisons are helpful, Mirthwood is the medieval Stardew Valley.

The attention to detail that this game has, with clues, notes, and other easter eggs hidden throughout the world that further your immersion int he game are par to none.

I very much so wanted this game to be good. I tried to give it time to grow on me, however at this point I don't think it will. The combat/movement mechanics of Throne and Liberty leave something to be desired. There are aspects of the game that I do enjoy, however I can not recommend this game as an MMO worth playing.

Dwarf Fortress is not just a game; it's an immersive journey with a captivating new graphic style that breathes life into this legendary title.

Visually Captivating:
The transition from ASCII to a more appealing design is remarkable, bringing detail to characters, landscapes, and structures.

Accessible Complexity:
New players may find the steep learning curve challenging, but the game's complexity is what makes each triumph feel monumental. The revamped UI strikes a perfect balance between difficulty and accessibility.

Challenging Creativity:
Beyond survival, Dwarf Fortress is a canvas for creativity. The game's depth creates a dynamic world where your decisions shape a unique narrative.

Conclusion:
Dwarf Fortress is a masterful blend of challenging gameplay and captivating design, offering both veterans and newcomers a rewarding and immersive experience.

From reliving the glory days of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, to seeing the peoples dreams come true in People's Republic of China, to spreading peace, love, and Communism in the Mexican Soviet Republic, HOI4 has it all.

If your dream is to see a world in which the American Empire is put in its place and where nations are free to choose their own governments, HOI4 will let you do that, and the American pigs will never see it coming.

Like many reviewers have said before me, "It's the Pokémon MMO you always wanted." or "It's Pokémon, but gay." Both of these statements are exceedingly accurate.

I picked up Temtem while it was still in Early Access, played it for a few hours, and put it down. I was satisfied with what I'd purchased at the time, but I wanted the story to develop some more, and wanted to give the developers time to do so. I would pick it back up every few months to check out what was new, what had changed, and what had remained the same. Each and every time I would pick it back up, I would have a renewed sense of joy and excitement to play the game.

Now that Temtem has reached it's 1.0 release, I've been playing it non-stop and have had trouble putting it down. From exploring, to questing, to taming, breeding, just chatting with people and friends, this game has it all.

With the 1.0 release came some controversy, which is bound to happen any time a game transitions from one phase to another. Some people are saying that there shouldn't be a paid pass in a game you already had to pay for. I would agree with this sentiment if the Battle Pass included anything that would alter the way that you play the game, or gave someone who bought the battle pass an unfair advantage. But the simple fact of the matter is that it does not. The pass is a purely cosmetic feature.

The best part about the battle pass is that, if you don't want to spend more money on a game that you've already bought, you don't have to buy the pass! And guess what? You're not missing out on anything!

Temtem is the game I've been dreaming of since I was a kid playing Pokémon. Don't let someone else ruin your dream because they're mad that the game has a cosmetic pass in it that you don't even have to buy.
