So, this isnt an awful game, but it really felt like death by a thousand cuts.

Charming art style, the setting is interesting, the crafting is OK, I do get a feeling of scaling ability, and a an interesting social interaction system. But I kept coming up against irritants.

Quests impossible to accomplish because targets "dissapeared" and didnt re-spawn. A fixed isometric viewpoint where trees (even when semi-transparent) hid interactable objects in poor contrast. Quests being given without you knowing the target (and frequently asking you to do things that are near impossible at your level) and where you get punished for failing. Akward combat that I only seemed to be able to beat by cheesing its forced horizontality. Quests being given but not showing up in the journal (AND I get punished for failing them).
Its the last one that made me give up. Could it be fixed? Maybe. I dont care anymore.

It is fun game, just irritating with some of the bugs. I hope they fix them soon.

I'm gonna give this a thumbs up for a number of reasons.

Atmoshpere is great, it has a slighty eerie feeling, a bit mystical and despite this, cozy.

Exploration is interesting and it has a story to follow, it has that "ooh whats over there" feeling, the excitement of adventure is there as soon as i leave my little farm/cottage.

And yes there is crafting to go along as well, if i don't feel like exploring i can just grind away on my very own landplot, i like it.

There is only one thing that i really can't give a thumbs up, and that is the combat. I've found myself finding a way to kill mostly everything (as long as i have a couple of health potions on me incase i mess up) which is a combo of, one or two fast strikes with my sword, followed by rolling away from the enemy, back away, as soon as the monster gets near again, rinse and repeat said combo.

But despite this it's still fun, i don't think the developers put the fighting as the number one activity in this game, and i'ts okay with me. Here's hoping there will be more content or such added to this game.
