What I remember about the rise of the Classic Collection is... is how broken it was. During the waning hours of the release countdown the players were discreetly transferred back to the OG Battlefront games. It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen what we were about to go through. Did we have any doubts? Any private lingering nostalgia? Perhaps but no one said a word. Not during the marketing, not when the release came down. And not when we left our negative reviews. Not a word.

This is the software that kick started my interest in game development. Now I'm in college for software development and I'm having the time of my life. I've since moved onto using other software for my game making, but this is a fantastic intro into the world of making your own games. I highly recommend it to anyone who thinks that they might be interested in learning how to create your own games.

One of the best roleplaying games ever. Period. An amazing story with deep and varied characters drives this game forward. Combine that with fun gameplay and customization and you have a classic game that has truly withstood the test of time.

If you loved Age Of Empires 2 and you love Star Wars then you'll love this game. This is basically an AOE2 clone with a Star Wars skin and custom campaigns. Whatever you like or don't like about AOE2 applies for this game.

As far as performance goes the graphics certainly haven't aged well. It would be nice to see an HD remaster for this game likle they did with AOE2. But aside from some graphical bugs, the game is stable on modern systems at full screen. The biggest issues is colors glitching on the maps and especially the menus. But that doesn't prevent me fron enjoying it.

One of the best things about this is the fully voiced campagins. 8 in total. (6 from the original game, and 2 from the Clone Wars DLC that is included.) The storylines are somewhat interesting and they provide a cool behind the scenes look at what happened between and after the movies so if you're a Star Wars nerd like me then you'll enjoy that.

It is worth mentioning that when this game was made the EU was still considered canon. So you'll be seeing characters from the original EU instead of the new official timeline.

Ultimately this game is for Star Wars fans who love strategy games. If you aren't at least one of those things chances are you won't like this game. But if you are then this is a great buy.

One of the best Star Wars games ever. But it's not for everyone. If you can stomach the dated graphics and complex controls then prepare yourself for the ride of your life.

Like most older games there is a steep learning curve but there are fully voiced tutorials to teach all of your starfighter's mechanics. The music perfectly sets the mood and you'll start to sweat as you realize that you've let a Tie Fighter get on your 6.

Note that you must have a joystick to play but this only serves to enhance the immersion.

Overall I have so many fond memories of this game and it runs flawlessly on modern systems. If you always wanted to fly and X-Wing (or a large number of other Star Wars vehicles) then this is the game for you.

If you love really complicated strategy games then this is for you. There's no tutorial so it's up to you to figure out how to do things. Just be aware, there is an extreme learning curve, but the game is a ton of fun once you figure out the mechanics.

I have Windows 7 and it runs just fine on my system at full screen although this does not seem to be the case for everyone. So far I have not encountered any bugs.

Overall it's like coffee. You grow to love it but it's really bitter in the beginning.

If you played Empire At War and wished that it had more depth, then buy this game.

Great action game that simulates the frenzy of an armed bank heist. The AI is no good though. You really need other players to fully experience the game.
