More frustrating than fun, since this relies too heavily on RNG. Early waves you almost always get stomped, then you can catch up only to get stomped again by the boss wave basically every single time. Unless you get some good RNG with tiles and upgrades/cards. Game has serious balance issues, how is it that the wave prior to the boss wave I can wipe no problem but almost every time the boss wave comes I get stomped despite using all available resources to build/spec/upgrade into things that should provide enough variety to deal with the final wave. Almost seems like this only started via a semi recent patch, because I remember this being more fun when I first started playing. But who knows, all i can say now is this gets an uninstall as it is never a fun time even at the easiest difficulty setting.

Lots of reviews have stated these facts already, but the game is fairly boring and repetitive and not in a good way like a regular rogue-like. But overall the biggest issues are both how extremely buggy the game is and how half the cards' text don't function correctly or do what they claim they will. I really tried to give it a shot at around 5 hours of play, but overall unimpressed and glad it was only $5.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story! I was so glad to hear that this was finally coming back to steam, i have been wanting to play it for a long time. I enjoyed the story and characters quite a lot, and sincerely hope we get to see more of them in future games and/or DLC. I highly recommend for anyone who likes the Borderlands franchise.

This is a fantastic JRPG in every aspect, and goes down as one of my favorite ones of all time. Everything about this game screams quality, and you can instantly tell how much hard work and dedication the team put in to making this game what it is. The battle system is top notch and extremely fun to the point where if you want to grind for levels or new abilities it doesn't feel like a chore. There are 8 different character stories, each one unique in it's own way. I played through all 8 stories and while all were great there were a few that were just a touch above the rest for me. When you play through you can either choose to pickup other party members or run it solo with just the starting character you choose. The graphics and scenery are all beautiful and well made. And finally the music....oh the music. This is one of the absolute best and most well made game soundtracks I have ever experienced. The way the music changes and morphs depending on your character, where you are and what you are doing is brilliant. Absolutely astonishing. All in all I can't really give this game enough credit. I fully recommend buying this game at the full retail price of $60.

If you liked the other Borderlands games, you will love this one. They improved upon just about every aspect of the gameplay/gunplay. The story is a bit lackluster IMO, and I wasn't impressed with that. But shooting stuff is fun and that's what this game is all about right? Well that and looting gear. Legendary weapons drop like mad though, which to me is a small negative. Id prefer that legendary weapons be more rare but also much more rewarding(powerful) when you do get them. But that's a small gripe. If you can get this game on sale like I did, then it will be well worth your money. Id say its even worth the full retail price of $60, but its at the age now where it goes on sale often enough.

DLC (year 1) - If you want any of the year 1 DLC, id suggest buying the entire season pass. You wont regret it. All of the DLC has its on charm. They arent groundbreaking, but they are definitely worth the money and each offers something different for a wide variety of players.

I enjoyed this game quite a bit. It does have its small quirks and things to get used to which is typical for most games. I did not run into any major or really any minor bugs either. Overall the story is very interesting and fun to play out, along with all of the side quests. Id say if you like open world first person RPGs, you would like this one. The environments are also beautiful and the combat system is very fun and satisfying. Overall id recommend this game at full retail price, but if you get it on any kind of sale its worth it.

Fantastic game, loved it! The artwork and scenery are simply beautiful and always a pleasure to witness. Exploring all areas is quite enjoyable. The story is amazing. The battle difficulty is hit and miss on normal, overall id say the battles were easy on normal. There are many difficulty settings so someone looking for a challenge with the battles can adjust that easily. Between the weapon crafting system and trophy battle system, I can see someone who enjoys a challenge being able to stand a chance on the highest setting. For me, I was mainly in this for the story and exploration elements. And I was quite satisfied with what I got. The price for this game is great for what you get. I completed all side missions and obtained 100% for all floors with just over 50 hrs of game play. This is a fantastic buy for anyone who loves CRPGs, even when not on sale at the msrp of only $25.

Very interesting and fun concept. I was in early access for almost a year, and am so glad to see a full release for this game. Really fun, but at the same time has a lot of strategy involved as well if you expect to get far. You have to think and plan ahead, every card you get, every upgrade, every relic makes a difference and can change how the game will play out for you as you get further into the climb.

This DLC adds a lot to TPS. Well worth the price! Loved the campaign!
