I picked this up to kill time one afternoon and now I'm hopelessly addicted. It's got pretty decent replayability, as I've had to repeat some levels upwards of 20 times. Definitely worth it if you ever catch it on sale and enjoy some stealthy mindless violence with a tiny bit of strategy mixed in.

Heed recent reviews, hardly any updates since alpha release - this game will never be finished. Not worth your purchase now (or most likely, ever.)

I've been playing GTA since it was top-down, and I put in ~300 hours on the 360 version of GTA V as well. I've since sold the Xbox, but have been maintaining and rebuilding my battlestation since then. Needless to say, I was only SLIGHTLY miffed I had to drop another $60 to pick it up another time.

I was a little apprehensive about the game being a poor port ala GTA IV, but it turned out there was no need to be. The game runs absolutely awesome for me, the only drawback springing to mind are some long load times, despite all 60+ GB of the game being installed on an SSD. I've noticed this mainly in multiplayer though, with an initial long load in SP then generally shorter ones thereafter.

The graphics are mindblowing, and there are a lot of sliders in the options, giving you the opportunity to really fine-tune your settings and figure out what works best for you. After minimal configuration, I'm running at a bare minimum 60FPS at all times and still marveling at just about everything in-game. Playing with a mouse and keyboard was a simple transition for me, I was a bit concerned at first and intended to just play with a 360 controller, but instantly fell in love with mouse aiming. GTA shooting was never the greatest but it's a lot more reliable and entertaining with the ability to be somewhat precise.

All-in-all, I definitely see another 300 hours of this in my future. Once some mods start pouring out this game has the potential to be a longlived classic.
