It's difficult for me to talk too much about this game without taking a way the fun of playing it. As other's mentioned it, you have to go in blind. So here's me providing a review with the vaguest information possible to keep people informed but blind.

I got this game this morning and played nearly 12 hours of it to get the main ending. I plan on coming back to it to gather the other endings as well. I enjoyed immersing myself into the world and people of the Forgotten City. That's truly where this game shines is wanting to learn more about the people. Each character you come across feels unique, which gives a human element to the whole thing.

The heart of Forgotten City is in its characters, the good and the bad. The story, the lore, the concept, and theming are also very good. Sometimes the story can be a bit predictable but it's still enjoyable (If everything was a surprise, it's start feeling silly). Some other key features is the scenery, it's downright beautiful to walk around. And lastly, probably it's greatest strength is how it ties all of it together and combines the world seamlessly.

Don't be surprised if there's limited physical puzzles or combat. The games combat is limited and all the puzzles are more of an intellectual problem solving normally requiring diplomacy or time jump mechanics. The way you approach each item is usually pretty straight forward and if you mess up, you can always reset. There are a few dialogue bugs though. Overall, I still liked it a lot.
