Early Access Review
Very enjoyable and rewarding game as you travel through levels trying to make it to the end without dying.

If you played the first hades, you'll find a lot to love about this one. The new characters and concepts are very interesting, while also sticking to some of the original characters.

I prefer the weapons in the first game, as they're more my style, but many of the weapons are fun and entertaining, though they still require more work.

The game is still in progress but delivers far more than what a normal early access game delivers and completely worth the time as is.

I played this along time ago and it was one of my first COG game. I have since played multiples and it sits comfortably at my second favorite of all the games. The most important part of any of these games is the choices, and in this game the choices seem to matter, which is ironic considering the overall story being about choice or fate, freedom vs. force of will. For a game about fate, it never pushes you one way or another but allows you to make a choice, and in my playthrough came to a very climatic end that felt appropriate for the content.

I also like how the game allowed me to add drama into the romance without completely sacrificing the romance. I really liked the romance I ended up going with.

This is a overall fun Rogue-lite Tactical game with story elements that slightly remind me of Kingdom Hearts. You can pick multiple classes with three unique abilities (and a passive) on a single run. During the run you will be presented with choices to modify those abilities and choose two additional abilities. Additionally, you can get items that give you unique passive effects. Not only does the item itself customize your character, but there are attributes on those that once meeting a certain number, gives you additional abilities. For example, there may be a physical trait and once you have 2-3-5, you get a bonus addition to your physical once you meet the threshold.

It's a unique and fun building concept and makes every run fun, regardless if you try different classes or stick to the one you like best.

The game offers challenges and quests, but most of all it allows for co-op which is something we don't get enough of in the Rogue-lite/like genre. You can play with up to 4 players including yourself.

Battling all happen in the same sized circle (with some bosses as an exception), so don't expect different tactics around the maps, it's all about the tactics around the enemy (who can sometimes effect the terrain). It's semi-turn based, as in the players get to go before the enemy and all players go at the same time.

Sometimes the game makes me think of F2P, as it's clear the game could've gone that route, but the only purchasable mechanics are the support DLC packs sold separately, everything else is obtained in game, and there's a lot! Overall I've really enjoyed the game, far more than I expected, and would recommend it to anyone that likes tactical games or rogue-lites.

To be completely honest with you, I loved this game before the rework. Gameplay itself was just fun and top notch. After rework I still love it but have more friends to play with and that's a good thing. To me, game was great and then made better through update. I expect that trend to continue but for now, I'm having fun.

Early Access Review
This is one of the few games I wish there was a middle ground for. The game is very enjoyable especially trying out different games, but the downside is the game gets really repetitive quickly and there doesn't seem to be enough differences between builds. I actually wish there was a slightly longer version of the game as there are times 20 minutes feels short. There's not much enemy diversity and I think that's where they're hurting right now.

Game is still early access though and has a lot of potential.

The game has an unlock system that is based off of luck. This unfortunately means that the very early game play can sometimes be very clunky and bogged down. When I first started the game, I didn't like it because none of the combos were fun, none of the cards worked together, etc. I kept unlocking cards that I couldn't possibly use at the time. This is where it can be at it's weakest.

The thing is, play a little further. The first game is not a fun play through. I'd think of it more as a 'tutorial'/unlock cards. If you're unlucky, your next one will work like that too. Just try to stick with the basic cards until you've unlocked cards and then start modifying your deck in creative ways via the town.

Once you play more the game comes online with the card selection. The game itself is a fun long adventure deckbuilding game. It's taken us at least 3+ long sessions to get through one play through.

The multiplayer aspect is fun, though I'm not sure if I'd play the game solo other than to unlock things. The combat can feel bogged down sometimes, especially when you're first playing. Most combats take time, especially as you play with other people.

It's a very enjoyable deck builder with some fun combinations. It sticks to what makes the classics great but adds its own flair to it in a unique combat system. There does seem to be a difficulty difference based on the number of people playing, three players is where the game is easiest (and honestly our first run might have been too easy as we all got some pretty nasty combinations)

Overall I think we'll play again and even more so during the full release. Also after leaving the prologue, the game will ask if you want to do a survey. This seems like a good sign to me as it shows the developers want feedback about our experiences and find ways to improve.

Personally I love this mod, what it adds, and I've spent at least 20 hours on the survivor mode as it's now one of my favorite ways to play.
