The Last of Us™ Part I

This is the second time I played TLOU, the first one was the remastered version on PS4. This game has the most memorable and engaging story I've played. The characters' development and storytelling are also pretty good. The original PS3 version was the most beautiful game on PS3 and this remake is one of the best-looking games on PS5 and PC at this time with many visual upgrades. Sound and music are as good as they used to be. The only downside of this remake is that Naughty Dog still uses the outdated gameplay from the PS3 version and it feels very boring and clumsy. I got this remake for free after buying the AMD 7900 XTX graphic card so I don't judge about the price here. At launch, this remake had many bugs and performance issues but at the time I wrote this review (August 26th, 2023), It ran pretty well on my PC with just one time-long shader building. In my opinion, it's not necessary to remake TLOU because the original one already got remastered and the only difference from the remake is just a visual upgrade. No matter what Sony and Naughty Dog defend on the existence of this remake, this one is just for promo of the TV series but at least PC gamers now can play it without emulators.
