old review: game was fun up until they tried to force pc players to sign up for PSN and login. will be refunding if this goes fully into effect as i will lose access to the game

crappier version of overwatch 1 with additional cash grabbing mechanics. promised content was dropped in favour of more battle-pass garbage for things that were free to get in overwatch 1.

blizzard were either very brave or very stupid putting their game on a platform that actually allows reviews.
would not recommend / 10.

silent and sudden addition of EAC was a very poor choice. they are taking steps to remedy peoples concerns how-ever all this update has done is enable malicious modders to continue to mod run rampant.

the silent modders that were not malicious in any way but relied on those modifications to make their experience safer and more accessible how-ever are now stuck without those tools until they are added in future. other more niche mods will never be added and its truly a shame.

so uh ya it works p good

game is a buggy piece of ♥♥♥♥, rarely if ever actually functions. troubleshooted this for days across multiple installs and multiple pc's. nothing seems to fix it. ♥♥♥♥ you rockstar.

game was pretty damn fun, good demo of what is actually possible with index controllers!
the amount of interactions in the game, puzzles and enemies popping outta nowhere and jump-scaring me was great!. gun-play felt awesome but also awkward at some times during reloads.

couple things though i feel i need to mention,
1. the climbing mechanics are great but so wobbly it can get disorientating and make it difficult at times to climb objects.
2.i wish i could customise the holster positions. they felt extremely awkward at times to access.
3. accessing ammo when crouching was extremely awkward, it would shift behind me at times during gunfights
4. there is a certain level in the game that i got stuck on, it required 3 keys and the area was extremely open and i could not for the life of me figure out how to get to the first key so i ended up climbing onto a noodle sign and run-jumping to get the red key. and then continue with the game after looking around for a long time.
5. the game said my cpu (i9 7980xe) was not recommended but ran perfectly. the game was using over 50% of my cpu at times (the very last mission was extremely lagging looking backwards how-ever :/

that being said, awesome game and hoping to see more from these developers in future! gets me even more hyped for the future of vr! would recommend!

game wont launch, have to spam it to open even after re-install and when it does eventually launch after 60 or so tries. it has no ingame audio on 2 of my systems.

if you wanna sink a couple thousand hours into a game that's competitive and has multi-layered game mechanics, play siege

feels like utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ compared to csgo. this should have been an optional extra game for weirdo's that like it until its more polished.

as an ex global elite player:

the new hud layout is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful. having to look in a completely different position for health and ammunition count is extremely annoying.

the new smoke / grenade mechanics are a gimmic and completely change how site pushes function and what equipment you need to buy.

deathmath feels ♥♥♥♥♥♥. now its ffa theres too many players on maps so you just end up being shot from 4 different directions instead of being able to hold an area, this makes it take far longer to "warm up". players will spawn ontop of you randomly or behind you giving you 0 chance to do anything. the addition of med pens is nice but it should be far faster to heal than it is currently, this often discourages their usage.

the new graphics are "better" if you like this style how-ever its harder to now see player models and the addition of newer player models makes things more annoying. the new models tend to blend into environments far better than GO. performance in my case seems to be worse even when on minimal game settings (12900k / 3090).

weapons feel differently compared to GO, this is likely subjective but it feels much worse than before to me. something is throwing off my aim, if this is a game setting or something else i have no idea and im not going to put effort into playing a game i dont enjoy anymore to figure it out.

server latency feels far worse than csgo. even the 64tick servers felt better than this, there has been many examples of the current hitreg being extremely poor on official servers. my ping is also higher on the average server even though my internet is far better than it was.

all of your player bindings will be reset.
all of your workshop maps you were subscribed to are gone.

cs2 is not fun at all compared to GO it feels more like an optional graphics update DLC than a flat out replacement for a far superior game. bring back csgo.
