VRChat's management gives no ♥♥♥♥ about the users of the platform, and is more interested in appealing to the people who will blindly follow their word, and not allow for free expression both on and off platform.

Say what you will about it being laggy, non-VR and products in world costing money (even though it goes to the people who create them, just like with the third party marketplaces for VRC), at least Second Life's developers, Linden Lab, will respect your time and money a far sight better than VRChat ever will. And hey - their client's open source too so you can mod it as much as you like (Within the TPV policy, of course.)
