This short and warm game definitely struck a familiar chord with me. Partially because i was around the same age back then. And in part because poverty and persistent optimism felt universally similar everywhere in the world around that era i assume.

i'll be the 1000th review (literally shows 999 reviews so far) stating that IGTM is a valuable project that gives an insight into the process of independent videogame development following a handful of people creating three famous games - Super Meat Boy, FEZ and Braid. Highly recommend if you feel passionate and/or curious about how modern indie games are made and what drives sole devs and tiny teams to embark on such a huge journey.

Please, don't, for the love of golf, confuse it with a game. It's an art project. The radio delving into the topic of Mars colonisation, featuring chill and sophisticated international playlist has a very 📻monocle24-esque[monocle.com] vibe, which I greatly admire.

The gameplay, however, is utter trash, haha. Not even sorry (UPD: Okay, maybe i am a little sorry in case devs have really poured some soul into it, but people still have to know.). Nice visuals that further amp the atmosphere, but completely frustrating physics, inconceivable course design, and slow transition animations will likely make you persevere just to hear more of those tasteful tunes and monologue segments. Thanks for the experience.

1. Illithids have had a toll on me, hence forcing me to utterly despise the game and Larian Studios.
2. [BARD] Well, I'll be damned if that ain't the mighty gripping tale folks go on about. Legend has it the journey is filled to the brim with picturesque views, lively characters, ode-worthy battles, and enticing adventures with a dash of mysetery. I'll gladly tread this path of peril and glory.

Still one of the best casual couch games a few years down the road.

Although I cannot fully relate to the kid, nor to his dad, the game is an amazing prelude to the much anticipated Life is Strange 2. Like many players, I am worried I will not be able to sympathize with the characters more than with Max & Chloe. But man this episode looks and plays good! The Unreal Engine 4 provides much better graphics than those in the original Life is Strange. You can leave footprints on the snow and enjoy a much better lighting.
The ending of this game left me with hopes that Life is Strange 2 is going to be amazing. The devs preserved all of the beloved gameplay aspects and slightly improved the mechanics (e.g. dialogue wheel, camera positioning).
