The combat is buttery smooth and oriented for speed. The weapon system encourages oodles of experimentation, with tons of satisfying combinations. The main game has special incentives for completing levels quickly, lethally (no hit kill streaks) or both.

On top of that, the game ages like fine wine, because the developers keep fine tuning things.
