I started with the classic Resident Evil games and still, I tried every single RE game out there whether classic or modern RE.

RE 7 has a great variety for having different family members and playable flashbacks and It has a strong narrative and tense atmosphere to it. The game requires impressive patience and precision.

I can say that Resident Evil 7 refined survival-horror mechanics that balance old with a new feeling to Resident Evil 7, and by returning to horror, Resident Evil 7 feels special somewhat.

So from someone like me who is a RE veteran and has played every single RE game, I can truly say that the game is worth everyone's time and money whether you're a veteran or new to the RE universe. So by finally returning to horror, in Resident Evil 7, you will experience jump scares and it will get you under pressure that you will wish for a little pause. Thanks to uncle Jack from the family who keeps chasing your weak butt and keeps cutting everything of your body.

There are so much gore and blood, I felt that I couldn't continue playing after Jack got me the first time. I don't know about you but I screamed a lot and I totally jumped outta my chair. Jack keeps following you trying to hurt you and keeps talking to you about how he's enjoying every second of what he's doing to you while chasing you. Now, this scares me the most.

This game scares me more than any RE game I've ever played. RE 7 feels special and different.

I barely made it through Alien: Isolation and Outlast - mixed emotions about this one. Ha-ha.

There's a lot of reminders of old games (esp. original RE) and pretty much the same flow and vibe thru the game. If you can imagine this game in old-style angle camera and replace molders with generic zombies (with dat sound of yawning as we all remember), you definitely can see RE as it supposed to be in old style. The only one con of this game is different place/characters in story aspect for someone and zero modes/multiplayer variety, not count DLC ones.
Afterall, this game is great. I'm happy that game wasn't artificially stretched with pointless backtracking and continues to mutate and amaze me as player all the time.

After checking your your Steam library, you do seem like a true RE veteran. So, I'm now genuinely curious to what was that made you arrive to the above conclusion after only half an hour of playtime?

How does the game compare and relate to the classic RE games?

Amazing, honestly that's true, I'd definitely buy the game, it's way different than any other resident evil honestly, they completely re mastered it and it became a whole new story like, hmm. I'll just get a pirated one :bbc:
