The game itself is really good, it just had an unfortunate launch.

I put 30 hours into the early access from buying the Gold edition and I had a blast for every second of it, the game is really good, though for some odd reason they did remove tons of features and quality of life updates that were implemented in Payday 2 so the game is back to being extremely barebones as it lacks basic features such as preplanning, loadout naming, music selector, customizable bots, offline play, etc

But the foundation is there for an awesome game, I do hope they bring back all of the missing features and stuff from PD2 and add offline functionality as the situation with the servers being out for 2-3 days straight has only proved everyone's point about why online only is a bad system
