This game is an absolute unbalanced train wreck. It seems really fun at first but the more you play it, the more you start to realize what you're in for and it's basically just a ridiculously long grind out for coins so you can unlock all of the games mechanics / bonus'... the game doesn't even really start until you unlock everything and then start gimping yourself with crappy artifacts that make the game harder on you... it's just a never ending cycle of frustration from start to end.

The turtles are all unbalanced and all require each others synergizes to succeed. Donatello is the most broken though just due to his shield tool and his innate ability to reduce it's cool down by 80%... he's absolutely broken in the defense department but you also need Raph's critical hit bonus' to do any kind of substantial damage on hard mode...

It really is just a balancing act of farming for coins and farming for distance so you can win rare materials to unlock higher tier bonus'... you'll end up replaying the same boring missions over and over ad nauseam in order to finally progress... by the 50th run of the first couple areas I've kind of had it...

The enemies are also insane when it comes to dealing damage, they either do nothing or they kill you instantly it seems... it's just a mess. I wouldn't pay $35 for this... definitely grab it on sale for less than $14.99 or even lower... playing the game online with more players also seems to make the game exponentially more difficult from what I've experienced.... unless everyone is on the same page, otherwise you're carrying.

It's unfortunate the maximum potential of your power all has to be unlocked by grinding and boring yourself to death with turtles you may not even want to play with. So far from what I've seen, Don and Mike are the best turtles to play as and Raph has some of the best bonus' in the game for dealing the most damage... Leo has a lot of utility skills but they're almost inconsequential when compared to Don and Mikes upgrades...

It definitely needs a re-balance because the enemy scaling gets way too out of hand after the first two stages. Level 3 and 4 need a huge adjustment to make the enemies much weaker in power so they don't just 1 shot kill you.

The rogue like elements also make or break your entire run... if you get unlucky enough to never get Raph's flame abilities or Don's shield to replace some of the more useless tools like Leo's Shuriken or Raphs chain thing... it's a nightmare.

Don't buy this at full pop, the game is also a buggy mess and random crashes / glitches happen CONSTANTLY while playing which will make you lose most of your progress. There's also really bad glitches that keep certain unlocks unobtainable and locked away forever unless you delete your save and start fresh.

The time spent playing this is already absurd as it is, so when you're wasting it on zero gains, it just becomes a migraine... the music is meh as well, like basically non-existent, the voice overs are fun and well done and the art style is great because they used the "mean looking" turtles which was a plus... other than that... bleh.
