This is like a job, but instead of getting money, you spend it

Combat is great and all, but progression is locked behind daily chores plus RNG, P2W is insane, RMT isn't punished.

You are not free to do what you want due to said daily chores, weekly content is fun to some extend, but since you have to do them on alts they become stressful due to time spent doing it if too many failures

As an extra getting disconnected for whatever reason can make you lose rewards for the week since their system sometimes works and sometimes doesn't (there RNG even in that)

Great time killer, and has been receiving updates that add more options

This game still has a lot of potential, but they made massive mistakes that 2000's mmo made and got killed for it. I can't recommend this anymore after all the dupes, and massive exploits that happened (and which impacts in economy haven't been cleansed). Items are worth pennies, and a few individuals that have abused still have millions in the bank.
GvG is still limited and has become repetitive. The most fun mode (Outpost rush) is still hard to find. Gear progression feels lame and there is no incentive to make upgrades.
Farming materials, doing tasks reward so little gold compared to what people have (as collateral from the exploits that happened) or use that you just don't feel like doing it.

Game used to be great and the developer was fair on the way to balance paid stuff, for some time I tolerated the increasing amount of RNG on certain mechanics because although some are annoying they didn't impact too much how you play the game and didn't require you to pay, just wait a lot, previous paid benefits allow for free players to get them in reasonable time by playing efficient.
The latest updated added "Followers" which have some game changing bonuses (specially doot) and is completelly locked behind a paid gacha system (which the developer promised to not implement alongside other predatory systems), without any pity, with only ONE free pull every week, this is worse than Genshin level of greed and Genshin is really bad, maybe the dev wanted to retire and decided to milk the most out of whales.
Didn't update my review until now because I wanted to give the dev some time to announce a change or aknowledge his error, but seens like he is just enjoying the money with his lambo in bahamas and laughing at us for 3 days now, another good game that falls due to greed, and this time it isn't even a coorporation, it is a solo dev that just sold his integrity for penies.

Unlike the definitive edition for age of empires 2, this is missing many QoL changes that would be much needed to make this really enjoyable, AI is bad, controlling a big number of units is horrible, as the pathfinding is horrible. Don't get me wrong the game is still enjoyable for the nostalgia and they made it really good looking, still not enough to recommend it for anyone who isn't already an AoE player and want to relive it.

This game is amazing, fluid controls, a lot of content to play until it gets repetitive. You will sure get your money's worth!

Well have this game for almost a year now and it still has game breaking bugs, resets saves with updates, kinda unplayable long torm. It has potential to be really good, but it one of those games that will probably stay early access for years and years until it is ok, still with many bugs and so but enough content to say it is finished. Don't recommend playing it now as the experience overall isn't enjoyable with all the bugs and save resetting. Give it a try maybe in 2 more years.
