Big fan of New Vegas but never played past that.
Saw the show and wanted to try 4 and saw that it had a patch for my ultrawide, cool!
Uhhhh nope, UI is complete stretched out garbage and the mods that can fix it now don't work.

Definitely GOTY right here. The best open world game in existence hands down. Amazing visuals, good combat, excellent world to just immerse yourself in.
If you don't like the idea of souls games being super hard you don't have to worry so much. Exploration will make your character stronger anyways and it's just as engaging as going against a super hard boss. There's tons of stuff to seek out without it feeling overwhelming and handholdy.

Apex is complex, it can be overwhelming and frustrating but it's addicting for people who want to continually get better at the unique mechanical skill and decision making it requires. Some might not like how the flow of the game goes at a mid to high level; you may often find no one for a while then stumble upon the entire lobby converge on a single spot. It's very tricky learning the balance of priorities, the difficulty and lack of solo play will turn many away.
Man I still love this game though, I've been playing for an extra 2,000+ hours on origin from season 0. Pulling a good team together to accomplish challenging plays is rare and satisfying. As for the non-gameplay side of things, the characters are unique enough and charming, and the skins are either really cool or the most uninspired plain thing you've seen in your life.
The dev team gets some flack but they definitely keep this game alive (even if out of obligation), and they will push to keep it going for a good while if you want to get into this for the long term. I only ask that you do more with the clubs Respawn, add clubhouses or something interesting please oh god please.

Honestly one of the best if not the best VR game right now. It's fun, immersive, good looking, and polished. It might not have the newest concepts but what it does have is a bigger production budget, good writing, and all the lore and charm of half-life. If you want a fantastic AAA game for your VR kit, this is it.
