Hey Sydney, I cried, thanks! :)

On a serious note, this brought me back to a time in my life where I looked at technology and could see the hope, the dreams of the future and not dread of what horrors it will be used for next. Just knowing that there are folks out there expressing that feeling too, putting out creative projects like this, it brings back a little of that hope as well as an indignant anger at those who have withheld that future from us instead of just that feeling of resignation, that that dream is lost for good.

I realize it may sound dramatic coming from some random person in a Steam review, but I don't think the weight of having lost that dream for the future, especially in regards to technology, really hit me until I experienced someone else expressing their own pain for the current state of things. I guess it's nice to view things not as "I want to go back." but as "I want it to get there."

The world needed a new Roleplaying game and Aneurism IV delivers on that. Set in a dystopian city, you struggle to survive as you work to earn enough credits to feed yourself to the next ration cycle, hoping to one day be able to afford a house with a stove so that you don't have to rely on your food from the ever-present Cortex who watches your every move. The community is welcoming, and people are extremely willing to help newcomers. I hope the success of this game encourages more standalone roleplaying games in different settings, but I plan on staying in Aneurism IV for a long time to come.

Absolutely recommend this game, mostly if you have some friends to play it with but, personally I've enjoyed flying around in solo quite a bit. It needs work, sure, but the game is also pretty darn fun as is, and the price-point is reasonably easy to convince friends to try or simply force them to try by buying it for them.

If you only play one round on the lowest difficulty you aren't going to get the full experience, and I fully believe this game is worth supporting now and sticking around to see how it improves in the future.

Always a fan when an NSFW game manages to stand on it's gameplay as well as it's... other content, though they are few and far between. In a world where most of the NSFW you can pick from is visual novels, puzzles, Bejewled or just the absolutely worst gameplay breaking up the NSFW content, FlipWitch stands out as a solid Metroidvania that I fully enjoyed playing for the game itself, and gladly took the time to 100% (still have to buy all the magical artifacts but 100%ed according to the game and Steam). Extremely interested in what the future holds for this dev, be it updates to this or brand new games.

I think the only "complaint," and I use that term very loosely, I have is that a very small portion of the quests involve you disguising yourself as the type of person a girl is looking for in order to get a scene with her and that deception could feel a little off for some, skirting the line of consent, but that's purely a personal preference of not wanting to deceive the cute Goblin Princess or Ratchel the Gym Rat.

Still, fully recommend the game, it's just a fun metroidvania with some cute monster girls in a really, really good pixel art style.

The one extraction shooter I have actually been interested in, honestly. The premise is unique, the guns are fun to use, the style is perfect, and losing doesn't feel like you lost the game. I've played this over the course of multiple updates and the recent inclusion of loot that can be scrapped for good amounts of crafting materials but is also valuable as something to sell to the trader has made recovery from even a full wipe of all your stashed guns and armor feel much easier while not making the game feel easy in a general sense. You go from being fully kitted, hunting kills and high end loot to just hoping to make it out of a run with some bottle caps and a portable radio. Raider mode is also extremely useful for players that may run out of money/ burn their inventory as they learn the game, with these valuable scrap loot seeming to spawn more frequently in Raider mode, not to mention the free gear you start with.

In regards to mentions of hackers and cheaters, that was a problem but in the time I've put in since the most recent update I have not once encountered someone hacking or cheating in any way. The community is fairly friendly, with the obvious outliers that are in any online game, but you're more likely to have someone hunt you down while doing a mickey mouse impression than someone shouting slurs at you and that's more than you can ask for in some of these games with VOIP.

10/10 extraction shooter, definitely sticking with this one through thick and thin.

Bought this game at full price at launch to give it a chance, had a great time playing the game but also complaints about the repetitiveness of the story versus the side content, the inability to call in Gizmo vehicles whenever you want, instead just having to hope one spawns in when on a mission, not to mention the reuse of boss fights.

All that being said, I maxed out the current battlepass got all my characters to max level, including Joker, and am looking forward to Mrs. Freeze being added soon. Also, during this sale the game is $20.99 and I wholeheartedly believe, complaints and all, it is worth that price as is.

Also I honestly can't understand performance complaints, I'm playing this on a gaming laptop from 2017 and it's runs perfect, with the slightest of dips when there is an abnormal number of enemies on screen effected by a status effect at the same time which isn't something that happens often.

Tony Hawk MAy Cry: Underground, need I say more?

Combining arcade skateboarding, hack and slash combat, and a rogue-lite system is something I never would have considered, but it works incredibly well. Controls are pretty similar to arcade skaters of the past, so if your muscle memory remembers how to manual in THPS, you'll find yourself picking up the skating fairly quickly. It's not all just the same as games that came before, as now dodging and fighting monsters are incorporated into maintaining and improving your combo, with the ability to gain buffs by doing certain tricks as you progress, such as a pop shuv it summoning a enemy-seeking electric tornado.

The dev team also made the, in my opinion, smart call for an EA launch and have provided placeholder text describing animations that will be added later and I'd reckon the time they may have used on those animations was instead put towards polishing the most important parts of the game, the skateboarding. It's Early Access launch so it's gonna have it's issues, but i'd argue that even in it's current state it is 100% worth picking up.

Tl;Dr: You like shooters that have more to them than just shoot and walk? You like enemy AI that actually seems to use the I in it's name? You wanna slow-mo shoot a dude in the back of the head with a silenced shotgun? All these things and more in this absolutely phenomenal game. Fully recommend it, no exceptions.

F.E.A.R., Wolfenstein, Metal Gear, and Severed Steel had a child and it is glorious. As a fan of experimenting with game mechanics, imagine my surprise when I broke stealth to take a hostage getting the room's attention, only for them to not start shooting. No, they squawked to hold fire, that I had a hostage, and while one stayed still, aiming at me, another soldier tried to flank me. Imagine my greater surprise when they continued to not open fire, as there was no timer for their aggression like some of these games with hostage-taking mechanics. I used this human shield to back my way out of the room, down the hallway, and out of view of the enemies, only pausing to snap my human shield's neck to pick up a intel collectible. With that I was hooked, and had to try more.

The next squad I came upon, I did the same thing, only this time firing upon the other soldiers before killing the hostage, cloaking, and getting behind another soldier to take them. This time, though, the soldiers did not hold fire, they saw what I had done with my first hostage and knew this one would be the same. This enemy AI has hit the level that we seemed to lose after the release of F.E.A.R. and I am incredibly impressed with it.

It also features a ton of other little things I love in games like these, like a hub area from which you launch missions, upgrade and change your loadout, perform combat sims, check your list of HVTs to eliminate throughout the missions, and change you outfit because just because you can't see what shirt your wearing doesn't mean you shouldn't dress to kill. It also has little lore pickups, bringing me back to the days of COD Black Ops, though these intel drops are often times just little bits of world-building that help flesh out the location you are currently turning into a impromptu morgue.

Tl;Dr: Very early access, minor bugs, but a great CORE (forgive me) to build off of that I hope many people join in to experience the evolution of this game, and to work together to reclaim the lands.

I've wanted to get into an MMO early in it's life for a while now, so when this released in Early Access, my friend let me know about it. Going in, it is very early access, but that's a plus for me, as it means I get to follow along with the development and watch it significantly improve.

To address concerns of grinding, it's just the same logic as games like Runescape. Use the skill, level the skill, get new recipes for that skill, unlock access to perks for that skill. A nice part is that leveling up on skill does not mean you have to use the perk point you get for that skill. You have that perk point to use for any of the currently unlocked perks you have. There is a significant focus on cooperation, which fits very well with the lore for you being in these dangerous lands. The player-base I have encountered have been nothing but friendly and helpful.

Current building and crafting is pretty basic currently, but looking at the base we have before us really indicates a promising future. I can see myself in the future of this game dedicating myself to a skill and supplying folks in the server with the related crafts of that skill.
