Early Access Review
This game has not received updates in a long time. I was excited to see that after months of silence, there was finally an update to this game which clearly needed some polish. A better menu, new tables, properly utilizing the graphics card instead of relying purely on my cpu, removing that stupid popup asking you to buy more tables every time you open the game at least? But that's not what we got. The update? Replacing art on the tables with AI-Generated slop. The flagrant disrespect for the customer that Magic Pixel has can NOT be understated. If you are a fan of these tables, do not buy this collection, cause you never know when you'll wake up and find that they have changed it without your permission. There are many free alternatives to this game that will respect you far more than this.

Game is virtually unplayable due to bots and the game has received no support to stop the issue. Players should not need to run their own custom servers with their own custom anti-cheat just to be able to play the game.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is the only official Yu-Gi-Oh! game for playing the real life card game online with friends (that isn't several years outdated). Now, this would not be enough to warrant a positive review on it's own. So without further ado, the Pros and Cons:
Pros:
- Updated cardpool.
- Game is actually fairly generous (at first) with Gems, which are needed for getting cards.
- Crafting system that actually works
- Graphics are nice.
- Matchmaking is quick and easy.
- Frequent events that encourage you to use different types of decks.
Cons
- Doesn't follow real-life banlist, and is Best Of 1.
- Gems dry up past a certain point, you have to rely on special events occurring to get more cards.
- Gems are too expensive to actually be worth purchasing with real money, better to just wait for more free gems.
- Once you reach top rank there's nothing more to do until the next season.
- Solo mode does a bad job of teaching you how to play, and the decks given to use for Solo are frequently terribly constructed.
-Setting up a duel with your Friends with the Duel Rooms is an annoying experience which requires too many steps.

It isn't perfect but it is the best looking Yu-Gi-Oh! experience you're gonna get, and compared to their other F2P game, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, it is pretty generous and you can easily assemble a meta deck to play on ladder with. Just, if you're new to Yu-Gi-Oh!, I would recommend playing one of the older singleplayer games first and then asking a friend to show you the new stuff once you've gotten the hang of it.

Overall: A breath of fresh air. A quality title that is easy to pick up and play but provides plenty of stuff to do if you're looking for something with depth.

Positives:

Unique gameplay that is good: It's hard to innovate in the puzzle genre. You have to walk a fine tightrope between doing something new while also making the mechanics easy to understand. This game accomplishes that task. Pretty simple to explain, push block into other block of same color and they explode, pushing away everything near it. But it also has a lot of depth, with VS mode having you forming complex spirals to make powerful chains while also trying to keep up with the clearing speed of your opponent and dealing with any garbage that blocks your path.

Great nostalgic art and music: If you played any puzzle games on a handheld from the 90s you'll feel right at home here. It feels like a game made for a widescreen Game Boy Color that never got released. Colors pop and characters are cute. The soundtrack has some of the best chiptune I've heard in a while. From heart pounding music fitting for an epic battle to relaxing tunes perfect for just chilling out solving puzzles.

A variety of single-player content: A lot of multiplayer puzzle games fall into the trap of centering all content around the multiplayer, to the point where single-player just feels like "play the multiplayer without friends." Luckily Petal Crash doesn't fall into this trap. In addition to playing VS against the computer, you have a Story Mode where you can learn about the characters while also getting some VS practice, a Time Trial mode where you try to get as many points as you can within the time limit, Turn Trial where you must get as many points as possible with a limited number of moves, and Puzzle Mode where you are presented a specific board and must clear the blocks specified by the puzzle using a limited number of moves (some puzzles even limit the type of moves you can make).

Representation: It is nice to see a game that doesn't use representation as a marketing ploy. The game treats those people as a normal part of the world. Even when you play as one of these characters in the story they don't comment on it, they have an identity, a personality, and goals that they are trying to achieve in the story.

Multiple control schemes & accessibility: Whether you use a controller, a keyboard, a mouse, or a touch screen, there is a control option for you. Given the game only needs two buttons and some way to move a cursor, I'm glad they went the extra mile to let you play the game the way that is most comfortable for you. They even included blocks with different colors to help those who suffer from colorblindness. One of the characters actually uses them when you play against him in the Story mode!

Pick up and Play: A perfect game for when you have just a few minutes and you just wanna play something quick. All of the game modes are either fast and frantic ending in only a couple of minutes, or give you as much time as you need allowing you to set it down and come back to it later.

Negatives:
No online: Given the current situation that many of us are in, I was hoping I could play some VS matches against my friends that I am unable to see in person. Remote Play can only do so much and it's always unfair for player 2 who has to deal with input lag that player 1 does not have.

Keyboard layout can not be customized: I just want to put the Grow button on a key other than Control why can't I do this

Small differences in skill can result in one-sided VS games: An early chain sent to your field at the wrong time can cripple you for the rest of the game, making victory an extremely uphill battle. There are two ways to lose a VS game, losing 3 hearts by your opponent clearing more petals than you (the amount your opponent needs to be over your clear count decreases over time), or your board is entirely filled with blocks preventing you from moving them. A large chain can put you on the fast track to both losing hearts and having a crowded board as garbage fills your screen making it difficult to clear anything. Of course, the better you are at the game the less likely this will be a problem, but at lower skills levels it is pretty obvious who is going to win every game.

Freedom Planet is a mixture of almost everything that was good from Genesis and PS1 platformers. The level design is solid, allowing any character to beat it, but allowing each character to approach it differently. You can even play it Doki Doki Panic style if you want. The bosses are exactly what you think of when you think of bosses, a difficult test of all of the skills you've learned by that point. The music and sound effects are the best I've seen from indie games, and voice acting is quite professional. While the story isn't the best, it does have good moments that make you care for the characters. Overall, this game is one of the best platformers I've ever played.
