Apparently this game won most innovative game play for 2023... I guess fast traveling to point of interest locations instead of an actual immersive galaxy is innovative. You people are sheep. The game is fun, but it isn't innovative.

fun game is fun

The gunplay, movement, pvp, pve, questing (for the most part) feels really good. I think the biggest issues lie within armor crafting and armor scaling. The biggest issue is that the tier 3 armor is insanely hard to deal with as a tier 1 or even tier 2 armor player. While you might look at the green and blue armor and go "yea I can craft that" its fair to say that you could probably craft 1 or 2 sets. Thing is if you have a bad day you have to go and farm the materials to craft the armor again (which takes time to find aaaand craft). Now do think of doing that over the a longer period of time. I think personally the armor crafting requirements are what is going to kill this game.

I'll still probably play the game itself because the gunplay is so good, but at a certain point everyone will just have better gear than you if you dont play regularly and youll be back in spawn zone.

Pretty fun game all in all. It's a bit slow and campy at times, but the gunplay feels good. Biggest complaint is that half of the conquest maps are just utter trash in that most of the points are extremely open and make you vulnerable from multiple attack points so the minute you pop your head up, its removed. Idk game is 50/50 imo I'd wait for sale though.

Rocket League is a great game to play with friends. The only thing that turned me off to it is once you get into the higher ranks people take the game extremely seriously...that can be said for a lot of games I'm aware. But go down 1 goal with 2 mins to go...expect the ff vote to come through. Mentality is just garbage for a lot of people that can't look anywhere else but to blame the game on their teammates. There is a chat filter for "bad language" but you can easily get around it with word play so it makes for some interesting interactions. Oh and never put this game down either because there is an mmr rank and if you get up in rank you stay there. so good luck getting re acclimated with the game. Again, still fun with friends though and don't take rocket car soccer too seriously.
