Positive review just to counter the herd of chinese trolls.

Brings me back to the good old days of Nethack and Cataclysm: DDA. Add in a bit of ToME and an inspiration from Rimworld and... yup!

Even though it feels really early access, there's SO much to do. 27 hours in I've maybe explored 1/5 of the world. Fights are EXTREMELY challenging , but the game gives you a 90 in-game day "Trial" where you don't lose anything on death.


During these 27 hours I've:

-Been tomato'd for playing music badly
-Died after someone chose to fling a granite boulder, rather than a regular tomato.
-Been crushed by carrots
-Recruited a Priest Chicken
-Had S*x with half my town
-Bought a philanthropist horse
-(On stream) : Drank a random unidentified potion being out of options. A "Potion of sulfuric acid" to be precise.

Regardless of what other commenters may say (must be mobile phone gamers or something) : Taxes are trivial. Don't get worried about these, you can easily farm the required items by going into a single dungeon, clearing whatever (possibly dying) and then dumping your loot on the shipping box.

Nope. Not a fan of needing a walkthrough to go through the game. No quest indicators, not even a quest list on your inventory.

Artificial difficulty via input reading, heavily unbalanced content that requires you to have maxed out items/weapons to have a proper chance (which as previously mentioned, requires a walkthrough)

4/10. Worse than DS1 and 3. Worse than sekiro.

Good game!

It has potential, and the matches are intense and fun.
However, there's a very small amount of maps, units, and even the "roguelike" mode is only... three missions.
I'll wait for a couple months to see if the updates improve on this aspect, and then stream it again ;)

While imo not worth the 60€ pricetag, definitely buy on sale ;)

Edit: After they realised their game was garbo, instead of fixing it, the publisher decided to leave random passive aggresive messages on many of the negative reviews, or dismissing them outright - all the while begging for positive reviews with an ingame popup.

They've got themselves into a corner.

• Always-Online "Game as a Service" BS to inflate playerbase numbers (Even if they mentioned it'll be changed, it's currently an issue).
  
• Constant crashes
  
• The vehicles feel like go-karts, have a goofy behaviour. Leave that for Anime and silly movies, even in realistic mode, the vehicle behaviour is an absolute joke.
  
• "Tank HP". Seriously, War Thunder did it right - Why are we using HP bars on tanks in 2024?
  
• Outdated game engine
  
• Outdated models. The old, pixelated character and vehicle models highly detract from the decent-quality battlefield, even at maximum settings.
  
• On the old beta, the multiplayer playerbase was quite toxic, even reporting players for using non-meta / quirky builds (such as all-AT)

As the only plus - the dynamic campaign is somewhat decent, though I'd say Gates of Hell one is better.

You may not see many reviews in the future pointing out the negatives -> The publisher, Fulqrum, via its moderation team has been actively hunting people who pointed out issues with the past betas via threats and harassment, both on Steam and on Discord. Nothing wrong against Best Way, the Developer - But please, next time choose a better Publisher that actively listens to their playerbase, rather than silencing them.

There's a known issue where you lose levels. When trying to message their support to recover them, they tell you all your progress will be lost if they do.

What a bunch of jokers.

I can deal with the awful economy, the overpowered russian vehicles, with over-performing armor and many "unintentional bugs" that benefit them. I can deal with all the time-consuming grind.

But the cheater problem is just too much. As an official Content Creator of this game, i can no longer showcase this game in a good light. The fact that people have to watch on stream as we get sniped crossmap through several bushes, forests, smoke and whatnot, by something lacking even the simplest rangefinder, makes it an awful experience. Aimbots, ESP, and automated grinding programs run rampant, and there seems to be no end for it.

Furthermore, many people on the CC community, as well as the player community, seem to be extremely Transphobic, spouting racial slurs, painting swastikas on their tanks... you know, the kind of people you don't even want to be shown onstream.

This is not part of a review bomb - This review will stay negative until they adress the cheater problem, and purge all the LGBT-phobic CC's.

Not sure if I would pay full price for this, but definitely kept me playing on stream for a good 4 hours.
The gameplay loop is entertaining and will be playing more.

If anything, i wish the roguelite part allowed you to slowly make your character more powerful, instead of just bloating your deck with useless cards.

EAC implementation on a Social platform. Will kill QoL mods and other useful tools.

VRChat is so disconnected from its playerbase I'm giving this a negative review until they remove EAC.

Unplayable. 4 hour queues for founders. No respect for the players. It feels like a mobile phone game port
