Just recently beat this game and it deserves the praise it receives. It does a great job of introducing new mechanics and environments throughout your play through keeping the game exciting and interesting. The platforming is challenging and rewarding The art style is gorgeous and the sound track does a great job playing right alongside it. The combat is not amazing but the platforming and other variety in the game heavily carries that aspect. The way the world is interconnected is very metroidvania esc and story is simple and fun. Overall, definitely worth your time and money.

The game is extremely hit or miss, during my first play session I was getting low frame rate but I was able to get into some PvP with my buddy and enjoy the game. Every time I have tried to play after I have gotten blinding artifacting, game crashes, and dips down to 15 FPS. I have tried DLSS, FSR, frame gen, etc. With FSR the game looks significantly worse than the other options and adds a lot of input lag to all player interactions. I am running this game on 32gb DDR4, an m.2 SSD, 3080, i7 8700k. The core game is right up my alley as a DayZ/Tarkov player (RIP Tarkov) but it needs time to sort out the performance/bugs.

Its fun but trash at the same time. Oh, also it is buggy af and the devs definitely did not consider UX when making the UI.

The worst part about this game is that I can't experience it for the first time again. Besides the slight performance issues, this is definitely some of from soft's best work.
