Chronic lag and audio issues, gameplay this bad is difficult to allow from ANY dev. from a modern AAA game. i-7 10700, Nvidia Geforce gtx 1660S with 6gb on-board, 32GB system Ram. this game was a gift, Heavily considering refunding...feels bad man. Update: they arent kidding with that SSD requirement. BAD Bethesda!
i should also note, the outpost system is so hollow, i have to wonder how much of it has been Pre-carved out for dlc....
also holy moly was that intro story rushed.

Mech Engineer beckons mech enthusiasts with its intricate mechanics and a learning curve that oscillates between intrigue and exasperation. What truly sets this game apart is the potential for hidden facets of gameplay to dramatically diversify the experience, adding layers of complexity and surprise. However, this potential is often overshadowed by a persistent imbalance that turns gameplay into a tumultuous struggle, though its early access status offers some justification.

Navigating Mech Engineer's journey from A to B demands patience and resilience, with abrupt difficulty spikes testing determination. While the learning curve aligns with early access expectations, frustration mounts from seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

My cooperative let's play series unveils both enlightening discoveries and vexing pitfalls, highlighting Mech Engineer's ongoing transformation. The game's heart lies in crafting and managing mech parts, which, while captivating, can contribute to an overall imbalance, occasionally overshadowing core gameplay.

Recognizing Mech Engineer's early access context is essential, as such stages often entail game-play disparities. It's important to note that the game is developed by a lone indie developer, further highlighting the challenges inherent in perfecting the balance.

Spoilers for those that Require an explanation of my viewpoints.

Expect to restart a few times to "get" the game's systems, it's a brutal dichotomy of deploying expensive mech's to win missions vs conserving resources to upgrade your dying city and defend it from the bugs. each death is crucial and losses devastating, but secretly you can actually sustain quite a few lost missions if you don't over-deploy expensive mech's and experienced pilots. using the Correctly tuned just unlocked weapons can save you bacon.

TLDR: Don't dig to much into the Guides or how to "win" enjoy it as one would the "Circus", blindly with no warning. learn as you go not from dusty forum guides who will tell you how you "Should" do things. fumble, fail, restart, repeat. name your pilots, name your mechs, use the language file to customize your districts names and descriptions to give it your own spin :)

Title: Promising Tank-Building Fun in Sprocket, with Room for Growth

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 (Early Access)

Sprocket, a tank-building game, offers a satisfying and entertaining experience for players who enjoy constructing their dream or even whimsical tanks. With its unique concept and solid foundation, the game shows great potential for further development. However, it currently lacks a fleshed-out campaign mode and some on-the-horizon features that would elevate the overall experience. Despite these shortcomings, Sprocket manages to provide an enjoyable gameplay experience with its existing features.

One of the highlights of Sprocket is the tank-building aspect. The game excels in allowing players to unleash their creativity by designing tanks that suit their wildest imaginations. From choosing different chassis, turrets, weapons, and defensive systems, the possibilities seem endless. The intuitive building mechanics make it easy to experiment and iterate, ensuring that every tank is unique. It's a joy to see your creation come to life on the battlefield.

However, Sprocket would greatly benefit from a more developed campaign mode. As of now, the game lacks a cohesive narrative or compelling missions that drive the gameplay forward. While building tanks is entertaining, the absence of a solid campaign limits the long-term engagement and progression. It is hoped that the developers will invest more time in fleshing out this aspect, offering players a deeper and more immersive experience.

Additionally, Sprocket could benefit from the inclusion of the promised on-the-horizon features. These anticipated additions hold the potential to further enrich the gameplay, expand customization options, and provide new challenges to tackle. The current state of the game shows promise, but the inclusion of these features would significantly enhance its longevity and overall appeal.

Furthermore, there are a few areas where Sprocket could improve its user interface (UI) and provide better explanations of certain design aspects. While the building mechanics are generally intuitive, some finer details can be unclear, leaving players to experiment or rely on trial and error. Clearer explanations and tooltips would help players understand the purpose and functionality of various design elements, allowing for more informed decision-making.

In conclusion, Sprocket delivers a satisfying tank-building experience, allowing players to unleash their creativity and construct dream tanks. While the lack of a fleshed-out campaign mode and the absence of some promised features hinder the game's potential, it remains enjoyable with its current offerings. With additional development time dedicated to campaign mode, the inclusion of upcoming features, and a focus on improving UI explanations, Sprocket has the potential to become a standout tank-building game. Here's hoping for a successful release that fulfills its promises and takes the game to new heights.

Wait a few years and this highly ambitious sandbox streamer bait game might actually reliably work well enough to be worth playing. had a number of glitches make the game very unpleasant to actually play. Including but not limited to, Being murdered by the swing of a door exiting city hall, Randomly falling through the floor and falling into the ocean/netherworld to die, having Random residents randomly decide i needed to be shoot dead in the middle of the street for no rasin, Vanishing job items. Residents phasing through walls and being upset that I'M trespassing.
