Love strategy!

If you're into the genre, now is the time. All major points on their road-map have been accomplished, this games in a great state. I played it about 50~ hours on launch of release and comparing it to now all the minor stuff like balance issues has been largely fleshed out. 10/10 if you like this niche genre.

I've got about 200 hours under my belt (so far) and can say that for someone that likes competitive gaming and is also getting a bit older for FPS games this hits in the right spot. I've never been a fan of games like LoL or DOTA 2, but like the concepts.. if this sounds like you, I'd give it a shot.

I also played the closed alpha and can say the state of the game is immensely better, if you tried it a few months ago and found it to be horrific then I'd give it another go (its free after-all). I think the games in a great place, and will continue to grow at a rapid pace. We're seeing literally every 1-2 weeks a big meta change either be it by a new god or item re balances and it's always feeling fresh these days.

I lastly want to highlight on the cons, of which I definitely am I part of. We have an incredibly toxic community, and unfortunately MOBA's breed this behavior. It's kind of a part of the experience, because when another lane does bad and you can't do much to change the outcome it gets you salty. If you haven't played MOBA's prepare yourself for the most insane amount of toxicity you've ever seen, I mean literally no genre compares.. If you want my advice, mute immediately and save yourself the mental headache.. and enjoy!

Well to pre-emphasize my viewpoint here; I first played the original back when I was a little kid on CD. The edition my dad got me came with this little paper map that had all the upgrade trees on it and I had it on my wall. I put in thousands of hours into this, and consider it my childhood in many ways.. I was scared playing the Retold edition would've been "modernized" for the wrong reasons, but I can proudly and gladly say the formula was left in tact and all new features just help ease of life. Well done, truly!

Like everyone else, this game is a HOOT
