Edit: So I do appreciate that Sony has rescinded their terrible decision, however the game is still blocked from purchase in any country that can't make a PSN account. So my review will stay negative until that is changed, but I will be keeping my eye on it and will update if/when that is changed to positive.

Original: 76 hours of this game I absolutely would have recommended it up until today. The PSN requirement used to optional and only needed for cross play with Playstation players. Now it's required for everyone and I'm not doing that, with how many PSN hacks there are I'm not trusting them with my steam account. I'm also not willing to make an account and memorize a new password. I had fun but I'm not going to bother making an account for a system I don't own just for more email spam about games I don't care about in order to play 1 game.

Dear lord this game is a disaster. It's really fun, I like the world, I like the gameplay. The story is really good. But there are so many small things that just... make it bad... AI, or lack thereof, the fact that enemies teleport, so if you get wanted by the cops like 50 cops will just teleport behind you and kill you instantly, if you're in a race and look behind you all your opponents will teleport in front of you, if you're in a shootout and hide behind cover to heal, a bunch of enemies will teleport from other parts of the area you're in to the room you're in. The driving doesn't feel right in anything. The fact that the best looking armor tends to suck. The fact that I've had the game crash on me 10 times tonight after having only 1 crash before this at 50 hours of gameplay. If your save file is too big it corrupts, you want to know how you get your save file too big? Craft a bunch, loot a bunch, have a bunch of stuff in your inventory, play the game for more than about 80 hours. Do too many missions. Do anything but just speedrun the game and you run a high risk of corrupting a save file. I really hope this game is good in like... a year or so... it deserves it. But at this current point, don't buy the game for more than $15 or wait a year or two

Never before has a game made me feel bad for playing it but also relieved that I did.

The story is amazing, the gameplay is great while a bit problimatic, I still haven't finished it but mainly because I've spent so much time just walking around and exploring the world, which is beautifullly made and written.

Let me start this off with saying that I don't hate this game, but I don't love it either.

It's a great shooter, I just think that it's a terrible GITS game. I heard about this game and it looked decent from the trailers so I actually watched the first movie and season one of SAC just so I'd know the story and I'm currently working through 2nd Gig.

I feel that this game has a ton of potential, a great team, tactical, objective based shooter. What it became was (or at the moment is, this is in Beta) a fairly bland, asymmetrical TDR game. There are only a few modes, but the most played one I've seen is TDR. The other objective game modes are just simple, run to point A, do objective X, survive, move on. The game is very easy, I used the starting assult rifle for most of my play time and got my KD up to 1.6 very quick. On the other hand, parts of the game are too difficult, gaining money to buy weapons and attachments is very slow and dependent on how well you do, so if you aren't super good, you'll be behind because other people will have better weapons.

The balance is a problem, and the gameplay is simple, but the gameplay is fun. Just don't go into the game expeccting something based on the story of GITS. Even more if you want something based on anything from SAC, other than characters.

It won't let me connect my steam account, It randomly opens a web page when it tells me this but it won't load. I don't know what to do and I need help.

A great game, but currently I can't buy anything in the shop because it claims my steam overlay is disabled when it's DEFINITELY not, also I'm buying stuff with in game currency, no other game has required me to open the steam overlay to buy with ingame currency, I've tried many things but can't fix it. Please help or patch it or something. Other than that it is a great game solo or with a friend.

This game runs great and still looks good even on the lowest qualiy, I definitely think this game is worth at least trying, it does take a while to level up though.

Realy fun to screw around on with your friends.

Fix your game, this game has had no major updates since 2016, you told us another update would be coming after the Pyro update for Heavy but you never gave us that, it's now been 8 years and the past 5 of those years have been filled with bots meaning I have to use one of a few dying community servers in order to actually play the game, and even those aren't always safe.
