The whole planet is your enemy and they will try with all they can to defeat you. As you survive longer on the planet, the enemies get tougher which spawns elite versions of regular mobs and sometimes bosses too. Just like the first one, you get to pick different character called "Survivors" with different set of abilities and each also differs in playstyle. The difference in playstyle makes the replay-ability fresh and fun. The rouge-like aspect also feels really satisfying with items which ranges from common to rare which all STACKS with one another. The lore in this game is not told like traditional story-telling, the logbook is your friend in this one,but since this is still on early-access, the lore's still incomplete (duh). It's Risk of Rain in 3D, same core mechanic with a few tweaks to match the 3D environment.
