40k Chainsword go Brrrrrr

Gorgeous graphics, most of the bugs patched out by the start of full release, and fun gameplay in line with Vermintide make this a great game with some changes due to a move to the 40k universe.

The first 2 difficulties are great for cutting your teeth on this game, don't require nearly as much teamwork. Yeah it's a big jump from there, but I'm still having a blast even trying the higher difficulties. From my experience that's where the loot seems to kick in. People complain about refreshing the shop as the only way to get gear, but my best gear at level 30 I've gotten from mission rewards which increase in likelyhood the higher the difficulty and the more objectives and modifiers there are.

The thing is everything is so satisfying while playing. From Cutting through hordes or setting them on fire with the flamethrower to taking out someone hiding behind a wall with the bolt thrower, watching them literally explode the game has so many "that was awesome" moments that they outweigh all the other stuff.

Being part of the pre-order beta I saw a constant stream of content releases and bug fixes and I expect them to continue that.

Have an RTX 3070 and game still stutters when I'm not even on high settings seemingly randomly. Game crashes repeatedly on first night area, I've wasted about an hour re-trying the level. Not going to bother anymore until it's fixed.

Update: With Latest Driver update game has become stable. No crashes in multiple levels. Now I'm actually having fun and enjoying the game.

This game is absolutely not new player friendly. I Tried playing some NON-RANKED multiplayer games and i'm not sure if it's not accounting for skill differences or there aren't enough people playing for it to even bother, but being new resulted in massive amounts of raging from my teamates as I tried to figure things out. Straight up TKing and spamming voice messages were constant across multiple matches.

I did enjoy the Horde mode, but it's limited to only a handful of people, constantly joins games already deeply in progress and people seem to spend half the time exploiting to trick the horde into killing themselves.

Fantastic VR experience for warhammer fans and general VR owners alike. It's by far the best free VR experience out there. I just wish there was a way to bath in more skaven blood.

Played this game at PAX East. Absolutely gorgeous, playing a mage has never been so much fun!

A fantastic F2P digital CCG, from top industry designers. You can tell thsi game is made with a lot of care and careful consideration. I'd suggest it to anyone who has any interest in strategy and loves card games.
