Great for the price, a little bit too easy to break honestly, but it's on the cheaper side of the recent "break the game" style rouge-lites, and it is still satisfying to figure out the couple of infinite loops you can make and then press a button and watch the game struggle to calculate a few undecillion per second. The real question is, where am I? Where's Reznov?

Man this Borderlands 3 DLC is pretty good actually! Wait, this was a full priced game? Nah that can't be right, surely Gearbox would never make such ridiculously stupid decisions constantly over the past decade! In all seriousness, this game is just a borderlands 3 DLC that got sold separately from the main game for some reason, so if you like BL3 you'll probably like this. I mean the writing can be a little cringy sometimes but BL3 was worse honestly. Just pick up the "ultimate mega super great best edition featuring dante from devil may cry & knuckles" for $10 on sale and its worth it to play while waiting for Gearbox to actually finish Borderlands 4 in a couple months.

I always said Death Stranding needs an editor, but this game got edited by Konami way too hard, it always feels like its missing something. Still a great game, and the engine is fantastically optimised to the point that it runs at 60fps on the steam deck somehow. Still kinda wish it was more level based like Peacewalker, but hey what can you do, Kojimbo wants you to walk, you walk.

Good ass game, doesn't have the super tight gameplay balance of Fromsoft souls games, but manages to do pretty well which is a hell of a lot more then can be said about most "soulslike" games on the market these days. Also has some neat DLC too. Buy it and go full Motivity for early game if you think you'd struggle with a souls game but just really like the aesthetics. They also added some easier modes now too, so no need to worry about only wanting to play the game because you want to rail the twink. I know what you are.

My favourite souls game, and I don't even know why, I didn't even play dark souls 1, and only played half of DS2, but I've played through this game about 5 times start to finish, not including new game plus runs or mods. Slave Knight Gael is such a good boss that he ruined Elden Ring for me. Love this game.

I wanted to leave a negative review to farm jester awards, but Elden Ring is just good. I don't even think that the game's perfect, I think it has some of the worst bosses in all the souls games, however it also has some of the best. This game is a pain in the ass sometimes, and sometimes it fills you with wonder and joy. Also there is so much porn of the characters, why is that?

It's Vampire Survivors. It's so cheap it's basically free and its still more enjoyable than some $60 games (any Ubisoft game after 2017). Why am I even bothering with a review I should just be playing, it's good buy it NOW

I feel like this game is missing a level or two, I don't mind a shorter game, if it's paced right, but this game really feels lacking in the content department. Like, I found about 80% of the secrets, and by the end of the game I only had half the skill tree, and one less than half of the weapon upgrades.

So yeah, I was really expecting there to be a time loop in the story, or some kind of new game plus, because it feels very weird to me that you cannot feasibly collect all of the upgrades in a single play-through, and there's no way to play through again on a higher difficulty with your existing upgrades.

The game is also pretty unpolished in places, the performance is all over the place, it's very easy to clip out of the map, and the cut-scenes lack lip-syncing, and are generally incomprehensible.

The gameplay balance is a little wonky, I hate that you only get one spare magazine per weapon before you have to scrounge for more ammo, but I guess we'll never escape Doom Eternal balancing in every sci-fi indie fps for the rest of time. Oh well.

There's also a system in the game where "some" enemies are armoured, so regular physical weapons do reduced damage and you can't "core extract" them, so you're supposed to use abilities or energy weapons (of which there are two in the game that share the same ammo pool, even though none of the other 6 weapons share ammo) to break armour so that you can either insta-kill them with the core extract, or "finish them off" with a physical weapon.

Now the wonky part is that there are only about 3 enemies in the game that aren't armoured, which is why I put "some" in quotes before, and the damage penalty for using energy weapons on non-armoured enemies is so little that its really not noticeable. However the damage penalty for using physical weapons on armour is very noticeable, so from the point you get the first energy weapon until the end of the game, there is almost no reason to use physical weapons outside of running out of energy ammo (which is probably why the energy weapons are the only ones that share an ammo pool).

The wonky balance combined with the fact that you cannot unlock all the upgrades in a single play through, meaning that you cannot get the quality of life upgrades and the combat upgrades at the same time without some level of compromise, just feels like wasted potential by the end, especially if you were looking forward to trying out some of the abilities or alternate upgrade paths for the weapons, only for the credits to abruptly start rolling.

The most annoying part is that despite all of these negatives, the game is really good, as in the core experience itself is fantastic, there's just so little of it.

This is one of those times where a choice in-between "yes" or "no" would be nice to have on steam, because currently the game isn't really worth it, money wise each individual has their own price points, and I don't regret buying it, but seriously there needs to be just a bit more here.

Hopefully in a little while the devs will update the game like they did with RUINER, and add more stuff to do, though it took them 7 years to make this game, and they seemingly lost the majority of their staff in layoffs about a year ago so I'm not even holding out much hope for that.

So at the current moment of time, it's a "do not recommend" from me unfortunately. It's a damn shame that such a great skeleton for a game has so little on its bones, also 10 hours of my playtime was AFK (I left the game on by accident and fell asleep) so it's really more like 6 hours to complete. I really hope that this isn't the final state of the game, and that there's more to come, but for now it's just not worth it. If anything it's better to avoid the game for now so you aren't as depressed when you don't have any more of it to play.

I've been playing the Wipeout games since fusion, and I've only really gone back to the older titles in more recent years and I got to say, even though its quite a learning curve, I can definitely still see why some people prefer the older handling model, which this game is mostly based off.

However, it turns out that this game also has physics models from every Wipeout game and some twists on those sprinkled in too. I think that the game can be a little too hard in the harder levels, though that could also be ascribed to my lack of familiarity with the older physics.

There is some lack of polish here, it is a fan game in the end of the day so i think that's to be expected, plus its not like all the Wipeout games were spotless either. Regardless, the new 2280 update has basically perfected the game in my opinion, and it plays great on steam deck too.

I just miss Wipeout so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sometimes I just stare into the cover of my copy of WipeoutHD/Fury at the studio liverpool logo and weep for hours, I'm not sure if this game numbs the pain or makes it worse.

SONY BRING BACK WIPEOUT AND MY LIFE IS YOURS
