This has been a game changer for me; I used a similar but more bare-bones free tool for a while, but it never motivated me the way Spirit City has! The endearing art style, the lovable companions, the helpful tools, the gamified incentives... Something about it just really works for me. In just the first few days, I made more progress on my to-do list than I'd made in weeks! 🎉

Spirit City has been a constant work-from-home companion, and while I've been sad that I couldn't take it to the office with me, I've taken the productivity techniques and habits I've learned from it to make me more productive there too! (And at least Homework Radio can still accompany me via YouTube. 🙂) It's been great for housework as well; I stream it to our living room TV while I fold laundry, among other tasks.

This investment has already been more than worth it. I'm sure I'll be spending time in Spirit City for years to come, and I look forward to future updates! ❤

This is by far one of my favorite VR experiences.

Start with a real-world "escape room" type setup and puzzles. Theme it as a classic secret agent mission, complete with all the traps and hazards that come with the job. That's "I Expect You To Die" in a nutshell.

The gameplay is designed to work for any size space, primarily from a seated position. The puzzle aspect starts off fairly simple, but gets more involved with every mission. But it's about more than just gameplay; I use the word "experience" rather than "game" very intentionally.

It starts the moment the opening credits start rolling, complete with a fantastic song and surreal, stylized visuals reminiscent of a James Bond film intro, only now you are surrounded by it. There are also plenty of distractions opportunities to live-it-up in true 007 style with wine, cigars, and other luxuries. Oh, and let's not overlook the more "dangerous" elements; Nothing says "secret agent" quite like ducking lasers and careless careful handling of explosives.

Through it all, the game doesn't take itself too seriously. The ever-present voice of your handler provides both guidance and comedic commentary. The enemy plots and devices are over-the-top in traditionally villainous fashion. And, true to the title, you are bound to find plenty of ways to meet your untimely demise.

I've thoroughly enjoyed myself with this one. I have plenty of entertaining stories to tell about my misadventures. Schell Games definitely knows how to work with VR.
