Huge upgrade from 2016 (minus the multiplayer content)
Recommend you play that before this however just to have the full experience.

The extra content and demon variety seen in the expansions + horde mode make up for battlemode 2.0 in my opinion.
Not much I can say that other people haven't preached over and over. It's gotta be one of the greatest games of all time.

Since the latest patches and updates to these classic titles I have to recommend this to anyone who just wants the best Doom experience.

It might not be the "classic" experience with the most recent release but its by far the most functional and fun port of Doom 1 & 2 with Mod support on top of that!

Gotta rock and stone every once in a while.

From a very rocky launch to a polished and enjoyable expansion.
The updates and support have certainly saved this game and I recommend it to anyone interested in the genre.

It might've had a rough start and might not be what everyone dreamed it would be but it certainly is now to me an experience I'll never forget.

(Don't ignore the DLC expansion, it is worth extra trust me.)

I love the references, the style and the simple yet addictive gameplay.

or if you're just a fan of this over the top style of humour.

It's a game headed in the right direction but it certainly needs a little more work done.

I recommend this to any battlefield or FPS fan looking for a large scale multiplayer shooter.
