Early Access Review
As of right now the game is Early Access, even so, I've been really enjoying my time with it. I've mostly played PvE so far as I'm not really a PvP'er. It's a lot of fun to build your own castle and recruit NPCs as your minions.

The start of the game guides you through things by giving you Quests to do, which reward you with locking items to build and craft, so follow the Quests along to unlock more stuff ;)

Your character doesn't have a tradition Level as RPGs have it, your level is based on the gear you have equipped. But that isn't all. You need to kill boss NPC's and drink their "V Blood" to gain their power(s) and unlock other items to craft. You can then mix and match powers that you like, or that are best for taking on other Bosses.

NPC's roam around the world doing their own thing. They even fight each other. Which can be fun to witness.

Most official servers let you have a max of 4 players in a clan, but private servers let you choose higher numbers and adjust other settings, such as spawn rates etc.

The game has a Day/Night cycle, so you don't want to be out during the day as you'll burn and eventually die. So day time is better suited for building your Castle or crafting gear etc. If you do get caught out in the Sun, keep the the shadows. But keep an eye on them as the Sun moves casting shadows in different directions at different times of the day.

Speaking of death. When you die, you either respawn at a "Gate" or at a Coffin you have bound yourself to. Depending on the server type you are on, you will either just drop your collected materials but keep your gear (though it will take damage and will need repairing over time), or you will drop everything. When you re-awaken you can then check the map and travel back to try and collect your stuff again, if you want to try.

There are fast travel points dotted around the world called "Gates" which, once you have explored and discovered them, you can use to teleport between them, BUT, you can NOT take any collect materials with you. There is another form of fast travel that DOES let you take your collect materials with you, and that is through Caves! Caves are a little different from Gates as one end of the Cave will be higher up the terrain and you can jump down to the main land, but then you can't get back up and go back trough the cave that way. The other end of the cave will be at ground level. So, if you go through a Cave, don't jump down the terrain if you don't want to be where it's taken you to, just go back through the Cave.

Castle building is really fun. First you place down your Castle heart, to mark your territory. It shows a percentage number showing how much of that area you can build on.. so find some were that is as close to 100% as possible (I only found a 90%, that's as close to 100% as I found). You cant build too close to others Castles either. But you can destroy the vegetation and old walls. At first you'll only have wooden walls, but once you can make stone then you can change them to stone walls and once you place down the floors then your Castle is under cover and will protect you from the Sun.
One thing to note here while building your Castle; it will Decay over time and that will leave it vulnerable to being attacked and eventually destroyed by other players. To stop the Decay, you kill NPCs and gain "Blood Essence". You put that Blood Essence into the Castle Heart. The more you put in the longer it will take before your Castle starts to become Decayed. So, keep an eye on that ;)

For an Early Access game, this offers a nice amount to do and I can not wait to see what else the devs bring out during its development.
