Quick Summary: If you like any of the Civilization games you will enjoy this game. If you are new to the series, this is a great game to start with. I recommend picking up the top tier bundle on-sale for max enjoyment.

I've been playing Civilization since 1992. I have played five games in the series: I, II, IV, Revolution, and VI. I have a couple hundred hours on I, a couple hundred on II (not including map making), and another couple hundred on Revolution. I have completed many games in a variety of game conditions (map sizes, difficulties, lengths, win conditions).

My first game out on VI was Marathon and Huge Map; so I can learn the new mechanics. I took me over 70 hours to beat, and I couldn't be more satisfied!! I love being able to choose a technology\culture from the tree, and have it auto choose the next one when it finishes. I love how many options to choose from for game conditions. The district system is an interesting addition to the game. It forces much more attention to land management than previous entries I've played. New unit types were cool. Environmentalist and archaeologist are great for culture\science, and the Giant Death Robot is fun for domination.

All around I am impressed with the magnitude of this game and question how many hundreds of hours I will end up playing this game for "one more turn."

Quick Summary: This game has no business being as fun as it is. The game is not graphically impressive at all, combat isn't all that challenging, and crafting isn't polished at all. Yet, somehow this game is stupid charming and very entertaining. I found myself just having fun with a game I had no expectations for. I ask you to look past the games faults and embrace the strange streets of Bum Simulator!!!
