Try on a virtual machine or an old computer for now so you get used to it, i guess. if you don't know which desktop environment to take, just get KDE Plasma since it's easy and looks similar to Windows lol (altho if your virtual machine doesn't have proper graphics stuff wayland might be buggy for you)
