CS:GO Review
THIS GAME FVСΚING SUCKS. I can only appreciate the improvements to AI, new built-in game types and the offline game experience (when you don't have internet for whatever reason). We tried playing this game at a LAN party but the UI and lobby options ruined the prospects of impatient gamers even giving this game the time of day. We simply gave up and went back to CS Source.

*When I originally wrote this review, LAN options were completely absent from UI. I don't know if that is the case anymore but I won't be revising this game for a long time if ever.

Well the whole reason the game was cheaper than previous CS versions is that it is/was still incomplete. They've been updating slowly, unfortunately Valve focuses more on their more popular releases like Dota 2...and leaves CS:GO as a side-project.

As I said in previous reply I had solution(s) lined up. There was no time to pursue them because people are anxious to play. Some people only had a few hours to play before they had to go home to their families/wives. The solution you posted is outrageous, its a band-aid fix. Its absurd that I would even have to refer to the game hubs/discussions. Valve should have made the creation of LAN games/lobbies embedded into the main menu. This game isn't BETA, I doubt they'll fix it.

I stand by my review.

That's what the Game Hubs and Discussions are for.

It's not LAN friendly. I was at a LAN party with friends, most of who already had objections to playing this game to begin with. They were willing to give it another go. None of the internet server's we were connecting to would allow multiple players with the same IP address. Wasn't worth the effort to play with console to configure it to work on LAN. I was about to create a dedicated server, but I thought, fuck this shit. We're not doing a tournament over here. It should not require this much effort to set up a LAN game. And like I said, most of my friends didn't like the game to begin with. CSS set's the bar/expections high. My friends aren't going to sit around while we improvise thanks to Valve's shortcomings.

I'd expect a newer game to build upon the features of the last one, not further complicate things.

The only thing I like about CS:GO's is the new game modes. Everything else, not so much.
