i have put in 7.6 hours and i have to say i feel like the beta version of the game was better in most ways ranging from movement to skill usage and even the guns felt better, im sure in time these things will be adjusted to hopefully be better then they are now as using any descendant skill seems pointless as most mobs just walk towards you anyways so really all you have to do is run around, take cover, and shoot and thats fine for the most part but the main issue im seeing with the game as of right now is the insane "crafting" times over 4 hours to craft a weapon and god only knows how long a warframe....er sorry descendant will take....there is no need for a crafting time over 30min other then trying to milk the player base for more money to "speed up" the crafting time like i know its no where near as long as warframe taking anywhere from 12h to 72h to craft certain things but at least their reason is to help prevent burnout...nexon doesn't seem to have the best rep with games i'll most likely still play the game but its not going to be a main game i play, even if its very unlikely i do hope the devs / nexon see this and strongly reduce the "crafting" timers to something more manageable like 10-30min as lest then you could kick out a few missions / boss fights and be good

Edit: 5/6/2024- it would seem that Sony is scrapping the psn account link requirement as of today moving forward and as such the only thing keep this review as "not recommended" has been fixed thanks to the efforts of the helldivers2 community and as such this review will be updated to "recommend" now

Edit: 5/4/24- sad news has reached us all as of recently sony is now pushing for the dev's to force us to make a psn account and to then link it so that we can play with our fellow steam players it is not a trustworthy business practice as it was mentioned that it "would" be a thing but then you waived it for roughly 3 months only to now make it a requirement to link a psn account to play with friends...this isn't for "security reasons" this is an attempt to bolster PlayStation active account numbers so although my original review was positive and i've enjoyed my time on the game but i will have to withdraw from the game and change my "recommend' to a "not recommend" i want to make this clear i enjoyed the time on the game but there is literally no reason to make linking a psn account a requirement if anything it should be a option to engage in cross-play features.
the game is fun.
the devs are cool.
sony sucks for doing this.

game is hella fun even more so with friends its rare to find a game that has a certain amount of difficulty to it where it doesn't ruin the game experience even if your good or bad at it i will say that i did have a powered off crash when i first launched this game which was fixed by launching the game in Dx11 and not the native Dx12 OTHER then that issue the game runs just fine....FOR DEMOCRACY!!!

would recommend if your into running a shop, building or survival games as a whole as this is the combination of all 3 27 hours in and even though im doing the same thing over (mainly to unlock stuff faster) im still having a good time

now for the minor issue i have with the game, there seems to be an fps drop with the game the longer you play it, so like anything after a 2h play session i have to restart the game im sure this will get fixed soon though

EDIT: want to thank Jomochiro [Dev] for responding and suggesting turning DLSS back on as ive tried everything in the performance discussion they have up sadly it didnt help me) and since i didn't even notice it was turned off as of turning it back on i haven't noticed a "C.T.D.S" (crash to desktop screen) and as such ill be changing my review to that of a recommend as this fix seems to have made the game stable enough to enjoy,

To the Dev's: thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to respond to my review it might seem small to others but to me it means a lot :)


although this game is really fun to play and im having a blast and normally id recommend it but right now i can not recommend the game until they fix whatever they broke with their "pumpkin" patch (v.1.1.249) as the game will randomly crash for no apparent reason as it could be simply opening your inventory and changing gear to casting spells or attacking even something as simple as sprinting has caused me to crash since this patch if they fix this crashing problem with their next patch i'll change my recommendation from a negative to a positive

*TLDR: 2/10 would wait, hopefully dev('s) figure out what sort of game they are trying to release to the public*

(i feel like more of a degen for a review of this game )33 minutes of "what did i just play?" as the store page leads you to believe its some "adult" game but the actually game play is just a "Run & Gun" as that's about all there currently is i understand limitations on what the dev('s) can probably upload given where their located but putting that all aside i'm still confused as there wast much challenge, thrill or immersion to the game...unless you count reloading and getting killed by bullets and or explosions the one thing i will say is the this game will "immerse" you in a world full of mystery as you try to figure out what the original idea versus the end goal of this game was/is AS it stands id say with some more polish and a few more things added based on what is there so far (perhaps clothing options, gun customization, mouse key assigning, ect ) it might get better? (hopefully it does get better) but as for a game tagged with "Sexual Content"-"Mature"-"Nudity"-"NSFW"-"Otome" its a let down

*Edit: forgot to mention that when messing with the sound settings some values didn't change like breaking creates, also im not sure if this is an oversight on the dev('s) part but when entering the "death hospital" there where some doors with the sphere colliders still visible so thought id mention it here*

"Nudity"- unless there was a nudity setting that can be changed on/off there inst any full nudity you get as far as heavily damaged shirt that still covers the breasts and a green thong that's all
"NSFW"- take damage = clothing deteriorating (to a certain point)
"Otome" ...yeah this one checks out as you play a female

as someone who played way before the seamless world update its far better now, while the game is still in early access but since the seamless world update its been nice playing it again and even more so with friends at the time of this review yes its still a little buggy in multiplayer and the only bugs i have ran into are soft crashing at times (uncommon and normally recovers quick) and crashing when trying to save and go back to main menu page (to change worlds/characters) but aside from that its a very fun game to play with friends, the builds you can make are crazy some are stupidly broken and others just add to the chaos, if you like the zelda: botw/totk games mixed with survival crafting and a smidgen of pokemon then id recommend picking this game up as of right now there are still some ares locked from player access that will be accessible in the future

things have changed for some better but e.a.c is still useless on this platform clients still roam wild but for the most part it seems not as common to run into toxic groups from what ive noticed getting back into it mind you i don't really do public's much so changing it from not recommended to a soft recommended, review updates will follows.

think i'll toss in my 2 cents on the recent news about VRC adding the notoriously crap anti cheat software called "easy anti cheat" is not a step in the right direction sure you want to stop people from using clients good on you but look at games like call of duty they constantly update their anti cheat and cheaters still run rampant so adding E.A.C wont do anything but piss people off also clients are not the problem vrchat needs to worry about right now, its the sites that rip avatars because of ♥♥♥♥ security/coding i've been saying this for years the VRC Dev team is taking 1 step forward and 2 steps backwards instead of focusing on needless things how about you fix the security of your game first then worry about adding a new portal locking system or phys bones ect, its clear that the Devs do not care about the community at all if they did people wouldn't be pissed off over ♥♥♥♥♥♥ anti cheat that lets be real here wont stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, as much fun as its been hanging with friends i think its time to jump ship after 1.4k hours i can not recommend this game any longer for anyone getting into vr games

You know I'm not the biggest borderlands fan and going into borderlands 3 my expectations were not that much higher then the previous games im now 24h+ into the game and its hella fun im enjoying myself and at the price I got it for it was a steal lol anyways im on my second play through now so if you were thinking of getting it go for it can't beat 67% off xD even full price I'd probably buy it overall gameplay is fun and don't worry bout the game getting too easy after you beat the campaign the first time you unlock a difficulty scaling feature that makes it harder.....im on level 2 of 11 and its manageable at that's at the start of the game

been waiting for this game for such a long time and not gonna lie the hype was real but not so much when it came out now i understand stuff happens and games have bugs and the game needs work but a lot of games had a rough start look at destiny xD anyways the game play is good and easy to get the hang of the graphics are alright as long as you don,t try and max everything out (tried running on highest/ultra and ran into some audio bugs, nothing game breaking though) aside from that the story was really good i enjoyed it a lot working on my second play through as we speak now i do wish there was more options to customize your outfit and rides but i can vibe with what we have now though being able to dye clothing would be a great idea for an update :O sadly when you craft items its a set/random color so if you like all your clothing to match then good luck my dudes all in all good game
