game crashed 15 minutes into "gameplay" as soon as it crashed both monitors lost video...had to use task manager to close game found an additional program running with same icon just with a different name, very odd...game needs a lot of work done on it before its for lack of a better word stable that being said even on sale i can recommend the game for now

the game is fun and i don't have a negative thing to say about the game play...however the devs are shutting steam services down jan 2025 which will delete all user data without the chance to migrate account data over to mobile why? who knows also they are not giving a reason as to why they are shutting steam servers down (they don't have to but it looks bad) so although i would recommend the game i can't now, to the devs, this is a ♥♥♥♥ move...

Space ninjas....what more do you need?

not gonna lie i was going to ♥♥♥♥ on destiny in this review but i dont think they need my help to know how ♥♥♥♥ of a job they are doing atm....anyways warframe is fun simple as that you can fish, kill things, fly around, pilot a "robot" (necromech) and of ya pilot a big space ship while also having a clan with its own space to hang out when your not being a bad ass space ninja, the controls are nice the combat is great and when they "nerf" things it feels like its only slight tweaks while still allowing you to feel op not only that but some of the builds people come up with are crazy to the point of "game breaking op" and from what ive seen over the year the devs are all for it but the best part about warframe isnt the actual game its the loving community behind it only matched by a company who not only cares about their game but also their community...also they actually listen to feedback which is a massive plus...all in all if your tired of games like destiny "vaulting" content or items being disabled due to a "unforeseen bug" or straight up nerfed into oblivion because "too many people are using it and not other weapons" then give warframe a try...end rant......SPACE NINJAS!

18 minutes into the game and i just can't deal with it anymore i don't know if im missing something but it doesn't look like you can re-map the controls or change the control icons from controller (xbox) to mouse & keyboard ones and im not sure why since you can use M&K just fine. other then that it plays like a classic "mech assault" game which is cool, hopefully theres a QoL patch or something to fix these minor issues

roughly 91min on record and i don't really feel like having to worry about replacing my gpu sooner then i need to, while nothings crashed yet im not really a fan of my gpu going from 2% load to 99% load when in game hopefully this gets fixed but til then i just cant, as for the actual gameplay 3.5/5 mainly its just the controls take time getting use to and feel over sensitive/ floaty but also not at the same time its hard to explain other then that your a squirrel with a gun what more do you want?

"OH BOY this is a long one" the game is far from complete, but for a F2P game its worth checking it out, been playing for 48h hours and that's 21 hours after finding out about the 6 week reset BS, yes i think its stupid and we'll see if they stick with this or change it but putting that all aside the game is fun the combat is a little "weird" but works as needed, driving feels a little sluggish but does what it needs too the building does need a good amount of work done to is in the aspect of trying to place items in certain sports (i've spent minutes trying to get stairs to snap to the foundation blocks and roofs to walls) but aside from that the building is decently good. now crafting....no complaints here it works great. character models are nice

things i've notice that need to be looked into
1.) terrain clipping / missing textures
2.) some npc not having audio or facial movements when talking during a quest step
3.) character migration (being able to move to another server don't really care if its a paid feature but since there is no cross server playing it would be nice to see)

EDIT: (FIXED) servers cap is once again a problem, so me and a few friends moved to server 00086 and not ONLY do i HAVE to re-purchase the battle pass but ALL the cosmetics i bought i have to now re-purchase if i want to use them on this server....i'm changing this now to a not recommend after finding this out...i hope the devs fix this.....i hope this was an oversight on their part but until this part is fixed at least i wont be changing this back to a recommended.

EDIT-2: (FIXED) played with friends for an additional 7 hours from last review edit it was fun, we made a hive and have an idea of who's doing what and all that, would still like to be able to play with my main character due to the amount of time and money i spent (happy to support a game i enjoy playing) still can't recommend until they fix this issue with cosmetics being locked to one character and not to the account itself and the same for the battle pass, also can we please get a "delete character" option, i'm not going to file up the 10 slots we have at most i'd only use 2 the rest being screw ups on my part when picking servers.

EDIT-3: it would seem that the devs are now in the works of making cosmetics account wide rather then just character only, i haven't seen anything about this effecting the battle pass which isn't the end of the world given how cheap it is at this time it would also seem that this 6 week reset plan is being looked at so everything i personally was not happy with seems to be getting fixed or is fixed by now, if any of the devs see thankyou for changing how cosmetics work :)

i have put in 7.6 hours and i have to say i feel like the beta version of the game was better in most ways ranging from movement to skill usage and even the guns felt better, im sure in time these things will be adjusted to hopefully be better then they are now as using any descendant skill seems pointless as most mobs just walk towards you anyways so really all you have to do is run around, take cover, and shoot and thats fine for the most part but the main issue im seeing with the game as of right now is the insane "crafting" times over 4 hours to craft a weapon and god only knows how long a warframe....er sorry descendant will take....there is no need for a crafting time over 30min other then trying to milk the player base for more money to "speed up" the crafting time like i know its no where near as long as warframe taking anywhere from 12h to 72h to craft certain things but at least their reason is to help prevent burnout...nexon doesn't seem to have the best rep with games i'll most likely still play the game but its not going to be a main game i play, even if its very unlikely i do hope the devs / nexon see this and strongly reduce the "crafting" timers to something more manageable like 10-30min as lest then you could kick out a few missions / boss fights and be good

Edit: 5/6/2024- it would seem that Sony is scrapping the psn account link requirement as of today moving forward and as such the only thing keep this review as "not recommended" has been fixed thanks to the efforts of the helldivers2 community and as such this review will be updated to "recommend" now

Edit: 5/4/24- sad news has reached us all as of recently sony is now pushing for the dev's to force us to make a psn account and to then link it so that we can play with our fellow steam players it is not a trustworthy business practice as it was mentioned that it "would" be a thing but then you waived it for roughly 3 months only to now make it a requirement to link a psn account to play with friends...this isn't for "security reasons" this is an attempt to bolster PlayStation active account numbers so although my original review was positive and i've enjoyed my time on the game but i will have to withdraw from the game and change my "recommend' to a "not recommend" i want to make this clear i enjoyed the time on the game but there is literally no reason to make linking a psn account a requirement if anything it should be a option to engage in cross-play features.
the game is fun.
the devs are cool.
sony sucks for doing this.

game is hella fun even more so with friends its rare to find a game that has a certain amount of difficulty to it where it doesn't ruin the game experience even if your good or bad at it i will say that i did have a powered off crash when i first launched this game which was fixed by launching the game in Dx11 and not the native Dx12 OTHER then that issue the game runs just fine....FOR DEMOCRACY!!!

would recommend if your into running a shop, building or survival games as a whole as this is the combination of all 3 27 hours in and even though im doing the same thing over (mainly to unlock stuff faster) im still having a good time

now for the minor issue i have with the game, there seems to be an fps drop with the game the longer you play it, so like anything after a 2h play session i have to restart the game im sure this will get fixed soon though

EDIT: want to thank Jomochiro [Dev] for responding and suggesting turning DLSS back on as ive tried everything in the performance discussion they have up sadly it didnt help me) and since i didn't even notice it was turned off as of turning it back on i haven't noticed a "C.T.D.S" (crash to desktop screen) and as such ill be changing my review to that of a recommend as this fix seems to have made the game stable enough to enjoy,

although this game is really fun to play and im having a blast and normally id recommend it but right now i can not recommend the game until they fix whatever they broke with their "pumpkin" patch (v.1.1.249) as the game will randomly crash for no apparent reason as it could be simply opening your inventory and changing gear to casting spells or attacking even something as simple as sprinting has caused me to crash since this patch if they fix this crashing problem with their next patch i'll change my recommendation from a negative to a positive
