I was so hyped to jump back into BDO after years away. I quit back in the day when they slapped Xigncode into the game—it was a dealbreaker for me. But when they finally ditched that garbage anti-cheat? I was back on board in a heartbeat.

Got hooked again, grinding hours, chilling with friends, even joined a guild I actually vibed with. Everything was golden... until they pulled a why-are-you-like-this move and re-added Xigncode. Seriously, why? No clue what they were thinking, but I was out.

Uninstalled the game immediately, but guess what? Xigncode decided to hang out on my PC even after BDO was gone. Just like before. So, I had to dig through my system, hunt it down, and manually delete it. Why does this thing even stick around after uninstalling the game? It's invasive as hell, scanning your entire PC and snooping through your files. And it’s tied to a Chinese company with CCP connections? Yeah, no thanks.

my hours prove how I loved the game — but there’s no way I’m keeping Xigncode lurking on my system. It sucks because the game is great, but I value my privacy more than my grind. Until they wise up and drop Xigncode again (if ever), I’m moving on.

Goodbye, BDO. It’s been real, but I’m not signing up for another round of this nonsense.

AntiCheatExpert (ACE) goes beyond just monitoring—it’s invasive and can conflict with other anti-cheat systems like Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC). Even worse, ACE services remain active on your system after uninstalling the game!

I discovered this the hard way when trying to launch another game. Despite the game being uninstalled and ACE services supposedly stopped, I got this error:
"Please close ACE-BASE before launching."

If you plan to keep playing, don’t follow the steps below. But if you're done with this software and want it gone for good, here’s how to remove it completely:

Open Command Prompt (CMD) as Administrator.
Enter these commands one at a time:
Restart your PC to finalize the changes.
Take caution before installing anything with such intrusive behavior!

The anti-cheat is Chinese spyware, if u have installed it make sure to delete it from your system 32. Anything that is has "naec" in the file name delete it right away.

游戏本来产能就低，钱全花在刀把上了，真看不出大伙充的钱到底花到哪去了。上不去下不来，像个靠化疗勉强苟着的肺癌晚期患者。敢不敢说说2024年更了点什么能增强游戏性的东西？

Pretty solid overall. The visuals are truly impressive, with stunning landscapes and an array of different biomes. There’s a lot to take in, like breathtaking mountain ranges at sunset or eerily beautiful fog creeping through ghostly towns, haunted by sounds that put you on edge. But there are some weird moments—floating bridges, rocks, and random items that appear in your path while you’re speeding on your bike. If they hit, it’s rough on both you and the bike, but thankfully, nothing game-breaking.

Character creation is decent, maybe a bit underwhelming in places. Combat’s fun, especially since you can aim down sights in first person. Armors and cosmetics? Mixed bag. Some gear looks fantastic and really fits the world, but most don’t. Even the good ones will set you back $15+ for the look.

Base building is enjoyable, with lots of customization, but the limits on the building system feel stuck in the past. Some basic building tools from other games are missing here, making it a hassle to put together your dream Hive base. And the limits are downright frustrating!

After sinking over 120 hours into a single build, the blueprint system has been a real letdown. The server structure, seasons, and Starcrom grind mean you’ll hit a hard wall once you reach endgame. With restrictive time gates and the frustrating grind to farm even a single blueprint fragment, it’s getting to where I’m wondering why my Hive and I are still in it.

Maybe raise the Battle Pass price if you need to, but definitely make the shop prices fairer. Ditch the build limits or boost them big time. Add blueprints and Starcrom fragments as drops from dungeons and bosses. And for real, fix that Motorcycle—it’s like handling a tank, even fully upgraded. There’s so much potential here, but it’s kinda exhausting.
