There are so many issues in this "port" that its impossible to mention all of them.
You have zero control over the character. He, she is all over the place. And when you have a straight path and actually gets forward you run into a door where you and your partner have do open... press V for "wait on your partner". You open the door into a cutscene only to be greeted with another door just as the cutscene ends. You press V for "wait" and you get into a room. Filled with enemies, about 5 of them, and after you have been running around in circles looking at the ceiling, the floor and every wall 54 times back and forth, you have killed the enemies (god forbid you get hit, cause then you'll rolling around on the floor for an extended period of time, with no guarantee that you dont get hit again on your way up). This leads up to a door, press V...
Time and time again you get truly amazed how bad this game is.
At a certain plattforming stage i suddeny die way to many times and it "seemed" bugged. The forums confirms this is a broken part. My experience told me to plug in a controller... boom, first try... the game actually runs faster because you plug in a controller...

This game feels empty and does not contribute anything to the RE saga and because everything else is pure skit. You want to skip it.

I know I kinda enjoyed this on console and I will try one more thing to see if the control settings can be fixed if not, I'll just leave it here.

Conclusion:
A controller is actually a must. And since it doesn't bring anything to the table I don't recommend it.

I played that Harbour run (Chris 3-4) again, because I had no problems at all.

The NPC Piers died 1 time because he got stuck between the Jumpers and the big boy.

Killed the Jumpers next round and it was no problem to ignore the big guy.

I actually died another time because I messed up when climbing a box. I pressed Space too early and Chris jumped down again..^^
Probably shouldnt have stopped pressing Space at all when climbing that boxes =)

But I really have no problem with the running part -_-
Dont forget to stop sprinting when changing direction.

What really annoyed me were the stupid sniper guys before that run ^^

What I like about the game?
It is a storydriven Co-Op game, that is the biggest plus for me. =)

@Sri
Like I wrote, if you are playing without a controller it's like I previously described. And its not a quality product to my standards, period.

I am talking to the harbour run. You run from point A to point E, the game auto turns at positions B, C and D.
The basic "game speed" is obviously the same but without a controller the "auto turn" starts a bit later and moves much slower. Causing you to move from A to E much slower since you cant start a run diagonal and keep the speed when the camera catches up.
Glad you asked though, so I could clarify.

"-But I just did it first try on "hard" using Kb/M, after years of not playing this game at all, and I bet you could do it too, since you had a couple tries now."

Nah, I don't think so, and I didnt even. I used my controller on that run and actually full time from Jakes campaign. And it's a completely different experience.

What did you love about the game?

Sorry, but a Controller is not a must.

That Chris Chapter 5 platform run against Haos is easier with a controller, that is true.
This is because you are running a big circle, and a Keyboard only let you go in 8 directions, so you have to do 1 or 2 extra steps.

It is not because "the game actually runs faster because you plug in a controller..."
How would that even help you? 0_o

But I just did it first try on "hard" using Kb/M, after years of not playing this game at all, and I bet you could do it too, since you had a couple tries now.

Btw: Most doors open with "Space".
"V" is not for "wait". It is the Co-Op-Action.

You leave and enter Areas together with your Partner.
You watch Cutscenes together.
It is a Co-Op-Game.
