I bought this game last January (and have 2,290 hours) so I have to say it's a pretty good game, but I feel there are some conditions that have to be met prior to buying the game for maximum enjoyment. If you plan on playing alone, you're most likely not going to enjoy this game - you'll find yourself being trampled on by huge 4+ person clans with no sympathy or being ripped apart while farming for materials. Progression alone is nearly impossible, unless you're experienced or lucky. There are a few PvE and roleplay servers, but they aren't highly populated and a majority are private. My personal experience has been great, but I play with a group of 5-8. Just know that this game takes a few friends and will take time to be successful as it takes more than a few hours to get to end game. In terms of development facepunch is making wonderful progress and is actually listenening to the community's desires (maybe even a little too much (♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb rhinocrunch and his toxic followers)). In short, great game, but be prepared to get your butthole penetrated if you play alone.
