I didn't play Return to Moria at launch because of the exclusivity deal—I don't want to support that practice. I wasn't planning to play it later, either, because buying a game after its exclusivity ends still supports that practice, albeit indirectly.

However, I received it as a gift from a friend now that it's on Steam, and damn, I'm enjoying every second of this game. It's a very fun survival game.

That being said, there is one major issue that I despise. Some resources are finite on the map. The only way to get more of them is to create a separate sandbox save to farm on. Having to rely on multiple saves is not fun, and it really detracts from an otherwise excellent experience.

I'm a fan of The Lord of the Rings. I've read The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, though I'm not deeply versed in all the lore. This game seems to hit the mark in many ways, obviously adapted to work as a video game, and it's a great rendition of the Song of Durin from the books.

I love this game, I don't have time for other MMOs. This is chill and relaxing. Loot treadmill sucks, good thing guild Wars got rid of it. Try it.

This game isn't finished. How can games in such a state be "release worthy" in 2023?!
This is actually so sad. Do better!

And the fact that they knew, still decided to release, and had a "optimize your game" post on day one is actually nuts!

Edit 12 hours of gameplay later:
I do enjoy the game, they are right that in this type of simulation game fps>30 is fine.
But the performance is still unacceptable...

This game is so good! Have not played such an amazing RPG since Dragon Age: Origins!
Don't mind my hours, have ~40 hours on GOG version before I bought it on Steam.

This game is really good!
End-game is sadly a bit too Ubisoft like for me but meh, played it through family share.
