RDR2 is an interactive, immersive simulation of the wild west, featuring stunning graphics, strong gameplay, and an endless amount of activities. The level of detail is incredulous - you are doing yourself a disservice if you try to speed through the story. The world of which Arthur Morgan lives in draws you in for hours and hours, with so much activity in this extremely rich game. This is the only game I can recall that I have ever bought for a full sixty dollar price tag.

Pros:
  • Rockstar's meticulous attention to detail is at full-force in this game. There is so much detail and so many activities in this game I won't even try to fit them in this review.
  • Thrilling narrative- it is the perfect example of a prequel that stays loyal to lore, while also expanding on it several-fold.
  • Features what is arguably one of the greatest protagonists in video game history, with memorable and interesting characters - in particular, John Marston, Charles Smith, Sadie Adler, and of course Dutch van der Linde.
  • Soundtrack is underrated and graphics are obviously top-notch.
Neutral
  • Much slower pace than, say, GTA V
  • I will say this - RDR2 is not 'fun' in the typical sense of a game - it's hard for me to describe it, but it's like an interactive TV show of a declining outlaw gang.
  • The story is rather depressing, especially if you have already played RDR.
Cons
  • Online is a giant grind fest, not much to say here that hasn't already been said about GTA Online.
  • Still a bit buggy on PC.
  • Missions structure can get predictable.
  • Chapter 5 is a mess, and not really in a good way.
  • As big as the game is, there is visibly a lot of deleted content (makes you wonder what the game originally looked like).
  • The control is still a bit wonky, though much better than on console.

Whether you're like me and you grew up with Civilization, or your completely new to the strategy games in general, I highly recommend this game if you want a fun, endless turn-based strategy game, wrapped around a coat of history-flavoring.
Whether it be through a friend's Gandhi memes or a youtube video, you've probably heard of Civ. The jist is you are in charge of running and growing a Civilization from 4000 BC up to the modern day - a pretty simple but novel concept. The game isn't really that difficult to get into, but amazingly, can grow into what's one of the most complex things I've seen on steam. As you play more, you learn more and more about various intricate factors and strategies that develop your playstyle, while continuenly sucking you in - the one more turn meme might be a bit overdone by done. but in my experience, it's a very very accurate sensation of what you get when you play Civ.
Overall, if you haven't already played a Civ game, you should definitely try it! Civ V is arguably the most casual-friendly game in the series, so it's a great starting point.

Pros:
  • Suberb gameplay.
  • For a 9 year old game in 2019, the graphics are pretty good
  • Super replayable!
  • Music is pretty nice, with dozens of variants between different civilizations
  • Pretty good learning curve - easy for someone to learn, but hard for someone to really master
  • Still boasts a very strong, active modding community - probably the biggest out of any strategy game ATM, other than maybe EUIV
  • Surprisingly fun online mode
  • Addicting!
Cons
  • DO NOT GET WITHOUT BOTH DLC'S. SERIOUSLY, THEY COMPLETELY TRANSFORM THE GAME FOR THE BETTER, AND YOU CAN GET THEM FOR CHEAP ENOUGH TO WHERE THERE'S NO REASON NOT TO GET THEM
  • After maybe a couple hundred hours, you might get bored of singleplayer mode. Fortunately, there's an online mode for you to play with your friends
  • Gets pretty CPU heavy on large maps as you enter the late game

Great game! The story is based around young San Francisco based hacker Marcus Holloway, who wants joins with a major hacking group to take down the corrupt "Blume" organization. The story isn't the best part of the game - it's the gameplay. Marcus basically has complete control over the world around him, and gets more powerful as the game progresses. The game world and the NPCs are Marcus' sandbox, where he's free to do whatever he wants. He can blow up sewer holes, he can spy on people with a helicopter drone, he can compete in go kart races, he can try to flirt with girls; the list is endless.

Pros:
  • Nice graphics
  • Fun sandbox/open world
  • Great map - the Bay Area is one of the, if not the best map made by Ubisoft
  • Fairly casual and lighthearted story
  • NPC interaction
  • The online component is surprisingly well handled
  • The game features a lot of choice; for example, you can go the whole game without killing anyone
Cons
  • UPlay
  • A little repetitive
  • AI is very dumb

If your looking for a story-based crime game, Mafia II is a great option. The game is set in 1940s and 50s Empire Bay, based on New York. The story revolves around Vito Scaletta, a Sicilian immigrant who is returning from Italy after WWII, where he witnesses the power of the Mafia. As soon as he returns home, Vito gets involved with local criminals and fascinated with the gangster's lifestyle, which may not be as glamorous as he thinks. If you are a story over gameplay kind of person, then this game is a definite recommend; however, the freeroam in this game is very limited, to the point where I almost wouldn't classify it as open-world.

Pros:
  • Great, immersive story
  • The atmosphere with the 40s and 50s time period is spectacular
  • Empire Bay is a very well designed city
  • Simple, but fun gameplay
  • Good, fluid controls
  • Graphics are good, especially when you realize this game came out in 2010
  • Likable cast with top notch voice acting
  • Not many bugs
  • Classic 40s and 50s music (though I'm not too much of a fan)
Cons
  • Freeroam and replayability are very limited
  • Short story
  • DLC isn't that great

Destroying stuff is awesome in this game! Though the game is unpolished and the story is pretty terrible, the free flow and amount of stunts and destruction makes up for that. If you see this game at a steam sale and don't know what to buy, this is a definite recommend!

Pros:
  • Destroying stuff hasn't been this fun in a while
  • Cool grappling hook
  • Panau is huge and varied!
  • Many vehicles
  • Decent graphics
Cons:
  • Game gets stale after 30 hours
  • Unpolished
  • Bad story
  • Abysmal voice acting

Flawed, but pretty good game! Every fan of Simcity or other city-builders should definitly give this game a go! Overall I would say that This game is on par with SC4 Rush Hour, slightly below and above it at certain points.

Pros:
  • Roads are very easy to place down
  • Big steam modding community
  • The game has good graphics and cities look very nice
  • Cities are huge, and can be expanded through buying tiles, and even moreso through mods, unlike Simcity 2013
  • Placing buildings and zones are very simple
  • You can build your own themes, buildings or maps
  • Really, the mods for this game are awesome!
Cons:
  • The cities don't have any random events or anything like that
  • The problems, particulary landfills and cemetaries, can get very frusturating
  • I got confused the first time playing it
  • Building themes, buildings and maps takes a while to get used to
  • Seriously, it's f***ing annoying when people start leaving the city because they can't send a dead body to a cemetery thats a mile away

Singleplayer: 9/10
Multiplayer: 6/10
One of the most well-made games ever. The game revolves around 3 protagonists: Michael De Santa, a former bank robber who retired under Witness Protection, hoping for an ideal, quiet life, though things don't turn out that way; Franklin Clinton, a 2-bit hustler from the South aspiring more; and Trevor Phillips, an ex-Canadian Air Force pilot and Michael's former partner, who also happens to mentally unstable psyopath based in Sandy Shores, a small town in the desert not too far from the city limits. The three get tangled up in a series of crimes, bank heists, and wars in the city of Los Santos, based on Los Angeles.

Pros:
  • Large world map based on LA and the surrounding area
  • Tons of customization for the 3 protagonists. Vehicles and weapons can be edited in in-game shops to have new features such a silencer on your pistol or bulletproof tires for your bike.
  • Great gameplay, from shooting to driving, is well-done
  • In 2018, it is still one of the most graphically impressive games ever made, even though the game came out in 2013.
  • Very well optimized, because this game can run pretty well on just about any modern computer.
  • Good story with very some very fun missions, especially the heists, the 'hood' missions, and Trevor's desert missions.
  • Modding capability, which is a sweet bonus for PC players
  • First-person mode!
Neutral
  • The online mode. While being potentially very fun, thanks to some of the community and Rockstar's microstransactions, the online mode has turned into a grindfest for all players who want to get anything, whether it be a property or sports car. Fortunately, with mods you are able to easily access the online content in the singleplayer, as well as the ability to play co-op with friends which almost makes up for it.
Cons
  • Loading is really long
  • There are a lack of details in Los Santos compared to Liberty City. The most obvious is that LS has alot less interiors, while there are other, more subtle ways this is expressed, a big one being how LS feels 'fake' compared to LC, though you could argue this is intentional from the game developers.
  • Online micro transaction "shark cards" are stupid. Everything in Online costs millions.
  • Single-player DLC, like the ones for GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption never came out, though the single player is still good.
  • There are some problems with the story, for example, Franklin is seen as boring and stale to many players, while Trevor has a deeply-divided fan base split between people who find him an interesting character and people who think he is an irredeemable psychopath.
Verdict
Definitely recommend for the single player, and since the game is now $30, there is barely any reason not to buy it and try it out, especially if it's on sale. I don't recommend the online mode, though, for the reason I listed above.

VERY CRASH-FRIENDLY ON WINDOWS 10
8/10
This is a pretty fun game with an interesting story. The game is about Jimmy Hopkins's (a 15 year-old delinquent) year at Bullworth Academy, one of the worst in the country. Jimmy must gain the control of the cliques to become the king of the school, and does so through many ways, though primarily fighting. At the end of each chapter, there is a boss fight with a clique leader. When he defeats the leader, he gains the respect of that clique. Overall the game is very fun and worth a recommend, but it is warned that the game crashes a lot on Windows 10.

Pros:
  • Very fun
  • Good story
  • All the characters are unique, with their own fighting styles, appearances, and personalities
  • 6 different cliques
  • Cool weapons
  • Bikes!
