Played for almost 8 hours so far, still want to play more, to make all the different builds I can and try all of the monsters. The stagger mechanic reminds me of games like Library of Ruina, and the turn based resource management team building gameplay is very satisfying to pull off, moment to moment, adapting to whatever the opponent throws (or tries to throw) at you. There was even a hard mode run where my monsters were dying all the time, so I had to avoid enemies and remake the team with whatever I had, incentivized by the building up permanent damage mechanic, and that was a very satisfying run to beat.

The game is gorgeous, it sounds great, it animates great, and it feels visually clear.

I have a few issues with information and UI, for example I know reset actions are based on the monster's types and they seem to be consistent for each monster, but it doesn't seem to tell you which one specifically is the reset action for each monster. If it does, it's hard to access that information. Likewise, finding out the status effects applied on your creatures seems to require going to the moves and reading what they do, associating the effects with the icons. In most places you can check your monsters at any time to make sure you're making the right choices, but that's not always the case, for example when picking up an item to equip on your monsters. But these issues don't bother me much, as I expect them to get eventually fixed.

The roguelite stuff I'm not sure how to feel about. I know some people are opposed to these systems, and they do seem very impactful. But I know that others do like this permanent progression mechanics, so I try to not let it bother me that much.

Incredible demo, definitely interested in trying the full game, will update the review if I find more things worth talking about.

Maybe the best autobattler I've ever played, it comes with so many things that should be standard to autobattlers, including a roguelike mode, a puzzle mode, a replay system, cycling events, different seasons with different mechanics, monetization only mattering for cosmetics, and this isn't even touching on the gameplay. Give this game a chance, it has so much to offer.

I was afraid I'd just play a bit, beat one or two runs, and then get tired of the game. As it turns out, learning enemy patterns, trying to go for achievements, getting a good grasp for all the characters (and in what ways they can break the game), and even trying to see the story to its completion has gotten me more hooked than expected, and I look forward to playing more already

Doing my part in counteracting the recent wave of negative reviews, the game is one of the more generous gachas I've ever played, and it has Project Moon production value. The story is easy to get into and does not require former knowledge of the company's games, and the game is worth playing for the story alone. The gameplay is easy to get into, and for those who want challenge the game has provided more difficult fights in the form of events and dungeon runs.
The game is not perfect of course, there have been countless of problems relating to coding and translation, and multiple delays, and they're aware of these issues, it remains to be seen of what they'll do of it. However, these issues are not that major and do not take away from the game. Performance issues do, but those mostly affect mobile players, so I will not touch upon that here.
And to touch upon the recent controversies, while it is an unfortunate situation, including how it has been handled, all I can say is that you can still take a stance by not giving them money. I still believe that despite of what happened the game is still worth playing, and I'll hold onto hope that Project Moon improves on their decision making in the future, and hopefully actually hires some testers.
