So, I've never played a public game,
but it's fun when you've got a bunch of friends around in a room or a vc
...that know each other well enough to tell who's good at lying
(or at the very least, if they didn't, they will after a few rounds of this)

Plus it's free on mobile, so literally any kid with a phone can play. Perfect for youth group meets.

Free game?
Legitimately challenging puzzles?
Super wholesome and funny yet simple story?
And it's all by one of my favorite YouTube animators?

This game is stupid hard, but despite that, it's still amazingly fun. It's like FTL, an already great game, but different in all the right ways. I mean, apart from the final boss being nigh unbeatable and taking a really long time to beat, but hey, that's one of the main reasons it's so replayable. If you liked FTL, you have got to try this game.

I have no idea why I never got around to writing a review for this game, but while I'm here I'd just like to say that this game deserves its place as one of the most popular survival games out there. It has almost infinite replay value, what with modding and hardcore and expert modes, but one piece of advice I have for people buying this game: BRING FRIENDS. This game is SO much better when you play it with others, whether you're learning from or teaching or just working together with them. This game just feels so much more satisfying when you're trying to coordinate with other people to either bring down the giant boss that just spawned, hold out against the hordes of enemies attacking your home, or even just to go mining together. Overall, I think this game is a must-have for anyone on steam, but only if you know other people with it, otherwise you'll be grinding to beat the next boss for quite a long time in most cases.

This game is truly amazing! Even without multiplayer, it's easily worth the $15, and I think it's just overall a nice game to play when you don't feel like playing stressful games with online competition. In this game, you can just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride, with no permanent time limits, very non-punishing death (even though I'm still pretty salty about losing my sword i got from the last mine floor just after obtaining it), and overall just intriguing gameplay and fun storylines. Sure, sometimes it can help to use a guide to find some things (like the golden pumpkin), but personally I think it just feels more rewarding to find things out yourself. After all, there's always next year for that seasonal item you missed or that event you messed up. Overall, I think this game is just great, and it completely deserves all the praise it gets from people.

This game is amazing! I never played the RPG maker version, but from what I can see this version is much better. It has a thrilling story, a really interesting fourth-wall breaking mechanic, and overall i just had fun playing it. Even without the actual oneshot mechanic of the original, this version is really fun and anyone with a spare ten bucks should really just give it a try.
