Easily my GOTY 2025 contender. I'm not really into turn based RPG's, but this one got my attention since it was announced last year, and I'm so glad not even Oblivion could overshadow this masterpiece.

I want to begin my review saying this. Yes, I had my doubts with this game. I haven't enjoyed ANY game from Bloober Team (and I'm glad they've recognized their mistakes aswell), and when I knew they were in charge of the remake of one of my favorite games of all time, I was totally skeptical. And I'm happy I was proven wrong.

I don't know if it was the direction that was given to Bloober, but they have managed to create a brilliant reinterpretation of the old classic. It's well paced, the story has been improved in every aspect, and all the themes, even the more delicated ones, are respectfully represented.

Graphically it's just impressive, but very flawed. There's alot of stuttering, and all cutscenes run at 30fps with no way to change this. Facial expressions, assets and monster designs are top notch. The town feels very credible. I don't know how to describe it, but very corner, alley, and vehicle feels like it's natural for it to be there. Like it's really a ghost town.

The sound design is perfect. Walking inside a dark corridor while the radio creats a loud pitch out of nowhere still gives me chills in this remake. Although, my opinion in the soundtrack differs. For me, the music tracks are better in the original.

In conclusion, I DON'T think this remake can replace the masterpiece that was created 20 years ago. BUT, it's an incredible reimagination of it. This is definetly my favorite game of this year. It's just that good.

An amazing, stunning and entertaining wonder, and my pick for best multiplayer game of 2024.

Helldivers 1 was really fun. And even if this game is missing one of the 3 enemy factions from its predecessor (at the moment of this review, but I know it will be added soon), it has enough content to recommend it right now. The combat is just so satisfying. It has the movement and shooting from MGS V, mixed with the gameplay loop from Left 4 Dead. You arrive at a randomly generated planet, kill a bunch of insects/robots, do the objectives, collect samples, earn money, go to the extraction point, return to your base, and repeat. Even if this seems boring, It's so addictive and fun to play, and even more if you can play it with friends.

There are tons of weapons, armors, and support skills to unlock. Some of them are good, some of them are garbage, but at least there is variety.

Although the game is presented as a live service game, it is not predatory in the slightlest. No lootboxes, no FOMO practices. Everything that is in the game you can obtain it just by playing. Sure, you need to grind for them, but it isn't as time consuming as in other games. And even if you want to pay for the content with real money, every DLC is really cheap, and it comes with skins, emotes, weapons, etc. And almost every 3 weeks a new Warbond gets released. Arrowhead is doing a good job in this front.

The soundtrak is great, and the main theme will be engraved in your memory, it is that epic. But even better, is the art design. Every planet, enemy, and armor looks great. I must say, the game has plenty of bugs, but they do not diminish the experience at all, and some of them are really funny (it reminds me to Skyrim at times).

Even if this is not your typical type of game, do yourself a favor and try it out. You will not regret it. FOR SUPER EARTH.

I just love this game so much, and I cannot wait for the sequel to come out.

It's a twin stick shooter with an online co-op focused gameplay. Heavily inspired in the Starship Troopers movie, obviously, but that's what make this game great. Although it's better to play it with friends, you can also play it online with random people. The community may be very small, but it´s one of the nicest community I've ever encountered in a game.

I'm doing my part!
