People argue that 6 years ago, the progression system became an endless grind and ultimately pointless. I agree.

Today, the progression system goes zone-by-zone with region-locked equipment.

All this does is go to the opposite extrem from 6 years ago and make it an even bigger grind because you have to restart
every single zone from scratch.

What the devs should have done in all these years is to design a progression system across all these zones. They should have created more enemies to fight, more dungeons, more crafting resources to drop from stronger and stronger enemies, more equipment variety. At the moment, there's barely any difference in power level between for example blue gear. Every blue gear is just about as strong as any other blue gear. Why not introduce more power ranges?

This game falls flat on its nose because there is currently no reason at all to start over in a new zone. All you get are hang gliding and diving speed buffs or whatever. That's not worth it at all.

Why didn't they create more dungeons? More endgame? More resources? More gear diversity? Skill trees? Skill points? Endgame bosses? Etc etc.
