The game is a classic RTS. With many interesting civilizations like the Persians, Greeks, and Romans, it offers a variety of conquesting fun. The game does show its age, however - the pathing for the UI is a bit wonky, and gameplay can be a bit slow, with a population cap at around 50 for most of the campaigns. If these things don't bother you, and you like base/army building RTS games, then I definitely recommend.
